On Top And On Fire
This anthology weaves a complex picture of female dominance in a cerebral and suggestive way that will flavor your erotic imagination long after you finish reading the stories.
Published:
Pros
Smart erotica that plays with the different ways "she" can be on top.
Cons
This is not direct masturbation fodder erotica.
She's On Top is an anthology of stories that celebrate the multiple facets of female dominance - from leather clad dommes to strict English women spanking their husbands to quiet, to mostly vanilla women with just one strong fetish, there is everything you could possibly want.
Rachel Kramer Bussel has collected a superb collection of stories from a variety of authors, some familiar (Debra Hyde, Alison Tyler) and many new...to me, at least. There is a brief bio of each author in a small meet the authors section at the back of the book. A collection that is rich in diverse voices, both seasoned with experience and fresh/new, is the best way to make an erotica book a roaring success.
She's on Top starts with a story named Suit and Tie, which is a smolderingly hot recounting of a secretary dominating her boss. While this story is very sexual and directly *ahem* stimulating, most of this book is not one handed reading but instead focuses on slow buildup of complex and erotic situations. I found it to be the sort of book that fills my erotic imagination with these delicious scenarios, which I can't seem to shake and constantly find myself revisiting. Not that I'm complaining. The book travels through many facets of female domination, settling finally on the fantastic ode to female dominance and cunnilingus, "The Queening Chair", which leaves the anthology on a mellow and highly sexual note - a treat to remember it by, perhaps.
While this book is sure to please anyone who is tickled by the idea of female domination, it will also appeal to a broader audience that finds power play at all enticing. It's not a very direct erotica collection - the descriptions of sex are few and far between, so keep that in mind as well.

Thanks for the review. Knowing who some of the newer authors are and a few more of the storylines would help me figure out if this is a book I want.
