Tickle His Pickle is advocated buy famous sex educator Sue Johansen, so this book had to deliver! And it does.
The Book is composed of 10 chapters in addition to the Appendix. The Appendix is devoted to safer sex practices along with practical and useful information in regards to hygiene and condom use, among other things. So the appendix alone adds value to the book. It's more than a gossip rag about "How to please your man."
While the focus of the book is techniques in oral sex, there is a larger body of information. The very first chapter focuses on the reader. This is very intuitive. How can you pleasure someone else if you are stressed? Women are capable of great multi-tasking, and that skill can be hazardous in a bedroom. It can most definitely keep you from giving or receiving pleasure.
There is also information about male anatomy, including diagrams and labels. While some might scoff and think, "What am I? A child?" it is important to mention there are many people who do not receive a comprehensive sexual education. Thus, this book could very well be the first in-depth exposure someone has to this information. Even for those who consider themselves anatomy experts, the diagrams are useful as reference.
Moving on, the body of the book, of course, explains various techniques on the skill of felattio. While every man is different, there is bound to be SOMETHING he'll love from this repertoire! Along with descriptions there are illustrations on almost every technique mentioned. It's great to add a visual to the instructions you receive. Because there are so many techniques mentioned, it might be a good idea to get tabs to bookmark things you are most interested in trying. That way, nothing is forgotten! Another good idea would be to try only 2 or 3 techniques at a time. This way you can learn what works and what doesn't.
In some ways I view Dr. Allison's book as a bit beyond its time, especially referencing men and anal play. While it is true more men are more willing to express interest in prostate stimulation, it still is seen as a big no-no for many heterosexual men to do, despite interest. Alas, Dr. Allison is not going to remove all the apprehensions and fears away from sex, but she is doing a great job of empowering both men and women to enjoy the sex they deserve!

I love Dr. Sadie! Her topics and writing may be deemed as simple for sex connoisseurs, but I think everyone can learn something from Tickle His Pickle.
I think Tickle His Pickle and Kerner's She Comes First should sit next to each other on a shelf. Regardless of your sexual orientation or preferences, I think they are good reads for understanding human sexuality.
Love my sexual ed literature. Love it!

Nice review! I read all of Sadie's books and unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. I actually felt like the entire collection was very generic sounding. I was very un-impressed. I'm glad it was a good read for you though. I'm hoping to find at least one book that I am able to enjoy around here. lol.
