More of an Adventure
This addition to the trilogy is much better than the previous book and gives hope to the series. Invest in book covers so you can read without strangers judging you.

Pros
Good for traveling or down time.
Cons
People are pretty judgmental about readers of the series.
Alright, I've already stated my feelings on this being based off of a Twilight fan fiction. The last book left the couple off on a bad note and forces this one to use the first few chapters to fix that and thus may come across as boring to a few readers. Here is the good news: The book does pick up in pace and there is more excitement and adventure added into the "story line" as compared to the first book, without sacrificing the sexual aspect.
I liked this book more than the one before (Fifty Shades of Grey) just because I felt I was getting a small something other than sexual content in the story. More character background is provided (which was utterly lacking in the first installment) and I get the feeling that the author was trying a little harder and that the content was edited better. In comparison to Twilight, it's as if the author skipped New Moon (the "where's Edward?" book) and went straight into Eclipse; providing a showdown between Anna and Victoria--I mean "Mrs. Robinson". I would have liked to see a little bit more romantic competition on both sides and jealousy factoring in, but we can't have everything we want. I have yet to read Fifty Shades Freed, so I can't say much about where this story stands next to its sequel and where it's going. But if it has as much fast paced adventure and deeper character analysis as this did, I won't be colored disappointed.
Again, this is not a great literary experience. So if you are expecting Twain or Shakespeare, you will be sorely disappointed. I quite honestly tried to interest my boyfriend in the series but just with the first book, he said no and would not even consider the idea.
