Pros
Variety of themes, interesting characters and backstories
Cons
Not enough male dominant stories, in my opinion!
"Anything For You: Erotica for Kinky Couples" is a new collection of kink and bdsm related erotic stories from Cleis Press.
The description from the publisher's website:
Whether you are a BDSM aficionado or a novice newly discovering the joys of tying up your lover, Anything for You will unravel a world of obsessive passion, the kind that lies just beneath the skin. Kink is the stuff of fantasy for many but true happiness is discovering what makes your partner tick.
Let award-winning editor Rachel Kramer Bussel be your guide to great, uninhibited, adventurous sex. Dare to share these bold tales of sexual control with your lover and discover how Anything for You will unlock and deepen your erotic life.
This book is 202 pages long. The stories have a variety of themes-- strap ons, voyeurism, bondage, airplane sex, anal play, swinging, and more. There are also several stories that feature lesbian couples, and gender play. There aren't any male/male stories which is kind of disappointing as I fancy that sort of homo-eroticism. The stories don't just jump right to the rough sex. There's interesting back stories and tidbits about the characters, which I enjoy more than just flat dirty porn.
My favorite story in the book is the first one, "Like Riding A Bicycle". The story is about an older D/s couple who rediscover kink in their 50s after taking years off. The story is sweet but has a frantic passionate edge to it, which is sexy to me. My only real complaints about the book are that a lot of the stories are Female dom/male sub. I don't enjoy femdom erotica, just not my taste. There are only 3 or so stories in this book where a man is the dominant partner. And some of the stories, specifically the one about airplane sex, are a little unrealistic. But I do understand that erotica is about fantasy! There's also a fun story called "Teppanyaki" that involves two couples playing with one of their wives during a dinner party that I found particularly imaginative.
This book is great for anyone who enjoys bdsm play. The stories aren't too hardcore that soft players or newbies will be turned off. And it's not too soft that advanced players will find it tame. Wherever your kinks lie, you will be sure to find a story or three in the book that you enjoy.
The book's cover has a rather sexual photo on it, so the book isn't very discreet. But it can easily be stowed away under a pillow or on a bookshelf. I have enjoyed the titles I've read from Cleis Press and look forward to their new releases.
