"22 Sex Secrets, Tips & Turn Ons" is a 1.5 hour DVD filled with ideas for couples. It is about 1.5 hours in length and is divided into seven (7) sections, of about 10-15 minutes each. Each section is demonstrated by real couples, and has commentary by experts and the couples.
The video starts with "Seduction," which is about flirting with your partner. The experts, P.h.Ds in sexuality studies, state that people often forget to flirt with one another after being with the person for a long time.
The next section, "Erotic Dance" is about exactly what you would think, except there is a twist: they talk about erotic dance from not only the woman, but also from the man. In this section a woman is shown dancing for her partner, and also a man dancing for his partner. The point of this section was to show that the dance does not have to be elaborate to constitute an erotic dance.
Next is "Masturbation." The point of the section is that you learn your body through your own masturbation, and through mutual masturbation, you can learn from one another, by watching. Everyone talked about inhibitions with mutual masturbation, because it is such a private thing, sharing it with someone else is incredibly intimate, and can be highly erotic.
The "Fantasy" section is a good conversation starter. In it, the experts suggest that people are afraid to talk about their fantasies, but that they should talk about them and decide which ones are mutually acceptable. Communication is key.
"Sex Outside the Bedroom" is another way to mix things up. The risk of getting caught adds to the excitement of having sex in a public place, or any place outside the bedroom. The main scene here is a quickie at a club. There was also of sex in an airplane bathroom scene. The point of this section is to explore all locations for sex, either planned or spontaneous.
The final section is "Sexual Power Play." In this section, they show very light power play, with just restraints and blindfolds, to a medium level involving paddles and a flogging toy. There is no advanced play shown, but I think that is because it is meant to get couples started on power play. The expert, Midori, suggests reading an erotic book or watching an erotic movie together to get talking about what you like and don't like. Power play requires more trust and communication and, so the experts suggest that you have a safe word, and that the submissive partner is in control at all times.
In addition to the main video, there are bonuses, including behind the scenes, better sex tips, why sex ed videos work, auto erotica, and "laugh it up."
The Behind the Scenes section is just a commentary on how some of the trickier scenes were shot, like the boat scene and the airplane bathroom scene.
The "Better Sex Tips" is subdivided into six (6) sections. In "Try Something New," the expert suggests that each person writes twenty (20) things they want to try on index cards and then trades with the partner. They divide the cards into "Yes, Maybe, and Never" piles. The idea is to start a conversation for the "maybes" and "never" cards. "Spicing it Up" is intended for long term couples to get out of a rut. The expert suggests changing just one thing, like the time of day, or using the opposite hand that you usually do. The expert reminds couples that kissing is important and that kissing often falls by the wayside. The expert in "Female Desire" says that many women come to her saying they no longer desire sex, and she helps them rediscover their desire by having them keep an "I desire" journal. Eventually, by writing what they desire, they actually start desiring things again. "Eye Contact" is about gazing into one another's eyes, while holding hands, through an entire song, and then discussing what they liked about it and what was difficult about the exercise. "Listen to Inner Sense" is just about listening to the body and acknowledging what it wants. "Maintaining and Nurturing a Relationship" is about balancing life and love, and not letting the nurturing part of a relationship falls away, as it often does after time.
The experts believe that sex ed videos help and work because they educate in general, and because they can illicit responses that reading may not illicit. Additionally, it allows a visual demonstration that may not make sense in writing.
"Auto Erotica" is a bonus sex scene clip in which a couple is about to have fun in a car, when they discover they don't have any condoms. So they listen to music and make-out instead.
"Laugh it up" is sex comedy.

Experience
I think this is a fantastic video for couples to watch together. It's aimed at couples in long term relationships, but I think a newer couple could also watch it together. I thought it was erotic and wish that my partner and I hadn't broken up because it would have been awesome to watch it with him. He's shy and does not really communicate his desires, so this DVD would have been a great way for us to talk about things we'd like to try. This DVD would probably get you in the mood to have some fun and try something different.
