This is a wonderful look into the minds of women of all ages and backgrounds. In these short stories from everyday women I see myself and fantasys that I have had in a lot of them.

Pros
All women will relate to some story in this book
Cons
None
This is the first book by Nancy Friday that I have read. I am so glad that I got this book and will definately be getting the other one offered on EF My Secret Garden. As I haven't read it I can't compare the two but from what I have seen they are similar to each other.
I am a very fantasy oriented person which is why I was drawn to this book to start with. As far back as I can remember I have fantasized about people, places, things and all different combinations of the three. At times I have wondered if it is just me or if others share similar fantasies and just kind of go off into their own made up worlds from time to time. This book is proof that a lot of others do exactly the same thing.
It is a compilation of stories that women have sent to her describing in detail some of their most intimate and detailed fantasies. Some incredibly erotic and some things that you thought only you would have ever dreamed up. each story has a little bit about the woman who sent it in which makes it a lot more personable and enjoyable to read. I actually felt as if I knew a few of them, probably because I relate to them on many different levels. I find it fascinating to believe that this book was written in 1975, I really had no idea that women today think just about exactly the same as then in situations like these.
The individual stories are broken down into the following chapters:
An introduction
Part one: Where do sexual fantasies come from
Chapter one: Childhood
Chapter two: Adolescence
Chapter three: Looking
Chapter four: Frustration
Chapter five: Daydreaming
Chapter six: Masturbation
Chapter seven: During sex
Chapter eight:Dreams come true
