This book came highly recommended to me by some of my friends. I had never read anything by Felice Newman, but I was very impressed by the informative and thorough approach she took when presenting the information in this book. I've read how-to books about Lesbian sex before, by authors who were sleazy in the way they presented their information, but Ms. Newman was not at all. Authorities without being authoritarian, Ms. Newman shows that she knows what she's talking about.

You would assume the book is intended for lesbians, given the title, and as a FtM transgendered person, I was quite hesitant about purchasing it. I'm glad I did! The Whole Lesbian Sex Book offers informative sections on transgendered sex, bisexual sex, and more! It is not simply for lesbians.

The writing style is casual, yet informative. It doesn't read like a textbook and is incredibly engaging, including visual aids to explain the text. It is very graphic when describing sexual position and sex acts, however, it is not overly vulgar about it.

There are also sections that touch on BDSM, threesomes and swinging, and other non-traditional sexual lifestyles (even celibacy!)

The Whole Lesbian Sex book actually helped spice up my sex life, giving me ideas for new positions and activities to try!
