Erotic Massage for Dummies
Erotic Massage: The Touch of Love is a great book for beginners. It leaves nothing to chance and assumes you know nothing about giving massages. I found the instructions and illustrations super easy to follow. It covers many different types of massages and even how to set the stage and finish well. The results of the massage I've given my husband were quite successful. He has loved all of the different ones I've tried on him so far. I highly recommend this book.

Pros
Easy to follow instructions, very thorough, good illustrations, large bold font.
Cons
I wish there were an easy way to keep the book open while giving a massage.
Erotic Massage: The Touch of Love is a great book for those of us who want to learn, quickly, how to give massages, without having to take a full course on it. It’s kind of like an Erotic Massage book for Dummies. Of course, they don’t call it that. But believe me, that’s why I bought it. I needed something plain and simple. And I needed the pictures! I am so bad at trying to figure out how to do something just by reading the words. And not only does this have pictures but it has this very nice, simple combination of words, pictures and arrows, that make learning how to do these different massages completely dummy proof. Believe me, if I can learn how to give a great massage with this book, so can you!
Erotic Massage is a nice, decent sized paperback book, about the height and width of a piece of paper, but it’s not too thick. It’s actually only 112 pages from cover to cover. The font is a fairly large, dark, bold print, making it extremely easy to read even in dim light. It also contains sketch like illustrations throughout the whole book that are very simple to follow. This is not an extremely wordy book. Each page only contains a few paragraphs intermingled with the illustrations.
There is an introduction section that is somewhat corny but makes the point about what erotic massage is. Next there is a section on what you will need, and what they call the massage guidelines. I found both of these sections quite helpful. For many people these were probably obvious guidelines, but not for me. Which makes me glad that the authors assume that the reader knows nothing about giving massages at all. And finally before going into the technique chapters, there is a section about health.
There are 14 small chapters on different kinds of massages. It starts with “The Beginning” which is an introduction into getting started with your massage. Then they cover: the back, back of the legs, the entire back side, arms, hands, front of legs, feet, front torso, genitals: male, genitals: female, neck and head, face, and then the conclusion. There is also a chapter called Eroticizing Safer Sex. Which give safe sex pointers and protective measures that can be used during a massage.
Each chapter gives you exact steps and pictures of how to do each type of massage. I found this book very easy to follow. The first time I used it I gave my husband a complete backside massage. He really enjoyed it quite a bit and felt that it was almost as good as a professional one. And for the first time in all the years that I have been giving him back rubs, I felt like I actually knew what I was doing. Before, I just winged it and had no idea if I was doing it right. Since then, I’ve done a few other massages in the book with equal success. I haven’t tried the male genital massage on him yet. We tend to get carried away too quickly and I never seem to get around to that. Something about giving my husband a back massage really gets him in the mood. But I have read both of those sections, and I have to say that I would love for him to learn the female genital one because just reading what it entailed turned me on.
The only thing I didn’t care for is that it’s a bit hard to keep the book open on the bed while giving the massage. I used a couple of things to keep it propped open. But, as a previous reviewer had mentioned, it would have been really nice if the book had been made in a way that it stayed open on its own. Otherwise this book is a great book for anyone wanting to learn proper massage techniques. I highly recommend it.

Follow-up commentary

I not only use this quite often for quick reference before giving hubby a massage, but I also like to study the different massages to become more familiar with them so that I won't always need this book while giving a massage. This really is a great book for beginners like me.
