Em and Lo's Buh Bye review
The book kept my attention with such good humor. If I was going through a breakup, it'd be like that one friend who can bring light to the situation. The book also has great illustrations to portray some of the terms, which I found to be entertaining.

I found Em & Lo's Buh Bye: The Ultimate Guide to Dumping and Getting Dumped to be very informative and enlightening. I'm nowhere near dumping someone or being dumped as I've been committed to my partner for six years now; however, I still found this book to be some help.
You see, when you've been with the same person for six years, or a long period of time, you tend to not know (or forget) all the dating or dumping terms. Reading this book gave me insight on terms I've heard and even taught me new terms that I never knew existed. Now I can talk to my friends who are still dating and keep up with all the lingo instead of pretending to know what they are talking about.

Another highlight about the book is it walks you through great breakup movie scenes with scripts and illustrated pictures, which is great because you might want to watch the movies to actually feel better about your breakup. Or maybe you may be musically inclined, like I am, and can relate to music better. In this case, you'll find great breakup songs toward the end of the book. I love this section because even though I'm very committed, we still have fights and who doesn't want to listen to a rough love song when you are fighting?
The quality of the book is great. It's a paperback book but has a nice protective cover, and I'm not talking the one you have to fight with. The front and back pages static cling very nicely to the cover. Another great quality about the book is that it's a nice size, so it would be easy to carry with you wherever you may need to do a reference check on a term.
The terms are conveniently in alphabetical order, so that you can easily flip to the term you want to read about. Or you may just do what I did and read right through the book. I know in the future I will have to grab the book to look up a term I'm sure.
Either way, I learned a lot from this book and had some good laughs about the terms with friends. Some of the things they come up with are very amusing. Out of five stars, I give this book all five. I think they did a good job explaining the terms, and through the terms, you can learn to deal with dumping or being dumped. Not to mention, it's still a good book to learn all the lingo.
