Pros
Hot stories. Brilliant authors. You can pick up and read at any part of the book.
Cons
More vanilla based with a hint of fetish but no hardcore BDSM tales.
Violet Blue, editor of Best Women's Erotica for the past eight years has again brought a collection of erotic stories in one beautiful book to tantalise and tease. A most difficult job of sifting through 300 submissions to nail it down to eighteen stories of the best written erotica for 2010.
Violet explains her reasoning for choosing this years bevvy of titillating stories as 'better than chocolate'. Never quite sure what you are tasting when you taste it for the first time and each one an explicit and erotic surprise.
The stories pull you in from the beginning and take you on a journey of many different paths, surprising you along the way with small twists and turns that leave you hot under the collar.
K.D. Grace's "Vegging" story pulls you into a tale of playful vegetable debauchery with thievery and erotic punishment in the most delectable way.
"Timbre" by Angela Caperton is based on a real life story of snippets of BDSM and the tale it weaves had me wishing it was me.
Carrie Cannon's "Straight Laced" has an unusual twist involving fetish and takes you on a hot raunchy ride.
If the word foursome tickles your fancy then "Stripped" by Anastacia Mavromatis is one steamy tale of what happens when a greek girl is faced with a dilemma and the need to break away from her father's control ... three hot blooded men in a house.
There is a story for every woman in this book, fetishes, hot sex and the odd entertaining twist that leaves you breathless, smiling and sometimes giggling at the turns the stories take.
The soft cover book boasts 208 pages of raunchy, steamy erotica, plus in the back, more pages; a small blurb on each author and a little about the editor herself. The cover itself isn't something you want to leave lying around if you are worried about it being seen as there's a nice image of a naked lady on the front so not so safe for kiddies eyes. The design is simple and clean and something I appreciate in a book cover design.
As for the Best Women's Erotica for 2010, yes.
This book will be hard to beat.

Experience
Absolutely enjoyed the stories in this book.
Each and every story pulled me in and I became the character. Some discover new experiences for the first time and along with them you begin to feel what it's like from immersing yourself in the words.
The stories are nothing more than refreshing to read. I'm fussy and picky when it comes to reading decent erotica and generic stories with all the cliched stories and sentences just don't do it for me.
These stories didn't have any of that. None. Each story is well written and the POV is refreshing they have you hooked at the start of each story.
I have a few favourites and it's prompted me to go off discovering more about what makes people tick and has given me some wonderful blog fodder to think about as well. I don't want to tell you all about the stories themselves as it would spoil the fun, the storyline IS the story. To the point yet wonderful twists and turns that surprise you along the way.
I have to share one of my favorite stories, "Vegging", the secretive swiping of vegetables and then the character being caught and what erotic deviancy followed, had me giggling and completely engrossed from start to finish. HAWT.
It's a great book for those who enjoy good, decent erotica writing and I fully endorse it myself. Violet Blue has done it again and produced a book that is most definitely a winner.
A freekin great travel companion too.
