If you're looking for a fantastic collection of gay male erotica, you can't go wrong with this one. I really love when erotica opens my eyes to new ideas or fetishes and this one definitely does. I especially enjoyed the last story, Lodestar by Mark Wildyr, which touches on the struggles of an interracial couple, yet manages to be very sexy.

About author

This is a collection of stories, so there are 19 different writers represented in this one book edited by Jesse Grant. While there are a few authors I've read and enjoyed before, including Rachel Kramer Bussel and Neil Plakey, there were a lot of people I'd never experienced before. There are a couple I will definitely seek out in the future like Rob Rosen.

Content / Style / Audience

This is a really eclectic collection of gay erotica that really has something for everyone. You'll get a taste of everything from romantic stories to hardcore BDSM tales - and while not every story did it for me, I didn't think there were any that were poorly conceived and written. The editor did a nice job of collecting really great stories that represent the diversity of sexual experiences out there.

While this is obviously geared towards gay men, I have to say I really enjoyed it myself and know a ton of women who love to read about hot man on man action. If you've read this far, this one is probably for you.

Design

The book is well put together and the cover is both tasteful and sexy.

Experience

This is a really great book for reading out loud with a partner under the covers. I've got a couple of stories marked that are set aside for an intimate evening in!

    Lodestar was probably my favorite. Here are a couple more that stood out:

    Jockey Shorts by Rob Rosen - tale of a guy with a thing for those tight little men who ride horses.

    Rear Ended by Logan Zachary - This one takes place in a hospital and I'm a sucker for that...

    Dearly Beloved by William Holden - Starts off as a pretty basic story of dirty leather sex, but there's a twist at the end that you just have to read!
