Oral sex used to be considered taboo but it is no longer considered to be so by the mainstream media or the entertainment industry. There are many books on the market on the topic of cunnilingus. I actually own a few of these but I find them to be uninformative. When I saw “The Best Oral Sex Ever: His Guide to Going Down” by Yvonne K. Fulbright, Ph.D., I had to read it.
With my expectations low, I turned to the introduction titled, “Open Up and Say ‘Ahhhh’.” Just like any other cunnilingus book, “His Guide to Going Down” gives you a brief history on the background of oral sex and a quick brush up on the female anatomy with illustrations. The third chapter titled, “Naked Twister Gets Naughty: Positions for Oral Sex” gives details and clever illustrations on the best oral positions including: the classic, starfish, on your knees (a.k.a. standing), sitting, face-sitting, from behind, sideways, wrap around, plough pose, bottoms up, and Soixante-Neuf 69.
Chapter Four gives you advice on how foreplay is important before oral sex. In Chapter Five you’ll learn how to warm up the vulva, attend to the clitoris, how to make your hands useful (such as finger play), and learn what a tongue Kung Fu is. Chapter Six discusses the types of lubricants and sex toys to use. Sacred sex and Kama Sutra are the main topics in Chapter Seven where you’ll learn what Yoni Kisses are. Chapters Eight and Nine talk about relationship issue that may occur. The final chapters discuss how communication is important in cunnilingus.
I actually ended up learning a thing or two from the book thanks to the author’s clever writing style. The book is slightly under 200 pages, which may be fine with some readers, but it could have been longer.
