Best Bondage Erotica Ever!
This book touches a lot of interesting aspect of bondage without being truly hardcore BDSM, except for introductory mentions of fetishes. It obviously brings BD elements with some level of SM, while maintaining a palpable level of respect for the subs in the stories that I really appreciated. All in all, it's a great book of bondage that could make you discover a few turn ons.
Published:
Pros
Variety in couples, solos and trios and even in sexual orientations. Original and very sexy stories.
Cons
None.
I've decided to review this book differently and review it in two parts, after reaching the middle of the book and after completing it. It's not my fault that I already had so many things to say about Best Bondage Erotica 2012 after finishing the 10th story of the 21-story collection.
HALFWAY THROUGH:
So far I'm stunned by how incredibly varied the stories are and about the solo player, the couples and even the trios are mixed in the stories. There isn't even a particular regularity about who's dominant or submissive, and you will never know for sure what role the point of view will take. You'll mostly find yourself in home settings, and other locations like a BDSM Club, an opera house, or a cupboard will definitely stand out. I like that when I'm starting a new story, I won't be able to assume it's going to be a heterosexual couple indulging in bondage. So far you'll read about f, f/m, f/f/m, m/m/f, as well as f/f, which is pretty awesome considering I've only read 10 stories, which are:
Melting Ice - Shoshanna Evers
A Night at the Opera - Elizabeth Coldwell
Darlene's Dilemma - Andrea Dale
Snow White - A. R. Shannon
Trophy Boyfriend - Lucy Felthouse
The Spider and the Fly - Salome Wilde
Tied Down - Elise Hepner
The Cupboard Under the Stairs - Kay Jaybee
Suffer for Me - Teresa Noelle Roberts
Dry Rub - Giselle Renarde
I was surprised by a few stories, like in The Spider and the Fly, where there is a very appealing analogy made with bondage, and by the punishment applied during Dry Rub, as I really felt like the punishment was deserved in my opinion, which was better than some punishment given for trivial reasons. It rang along my own types of punishments, and I really enjoyed that story. There also was a really hot scene of girl on girl strap-on action in Darlene's Dilemma. Suffer for me by the way was hot as hell, I don't know either if what happened is even possible, but heck, it's very sexy. So far, the book is a definite must read for the above stories alone.
READING COMPLETE:
The second part lightly introduces some fetishes, in one way or another, like blades -without blood play-, suspension hooks, corsetry -interestingly in the only m/m story, a very sensual one-, shaving, voyeurism, exhibitionism, sleeping, erotic asphyxiation, another strap-on story, and there could have been some other fetishes that went under my radar. I also wanted to mention that if you really are into rope bondage, it's a recurrent theme in this book. There are a few stories in the whole book that aren't as erotic as others, but they give a hint of what will come and are erotic in their own way, and leave you hanging for more. The stories of the second part are:
Worth Redemption - Craig J. Sorensen
Laced - Elizabeth Silver
Pawns - Billey Thorunn
Cumaná - Helen Sedgwick
Good Britsh Steel - Lana Fox
Parting Ways - Tenille Brown
Knot Alone - Kathleen Tudor
The Insurrection - Valerie Alexander
The Tipping Point - Lolita Lopez
As Long As You Don't Wake Me - Neil Gavriel
The Weight - Rachel Kramer Bussel
I would say that this book targets a really broad, but open-minded audience when it comes to the sexual orientations and activities within of the book. Also, since the fetishes are not explored in depth and people more into hardcore BDSM play might be left desiring more out of this book.
