A novel about BDSM is not something I originally would have expected to enjoy. I'm not saying I like chains and whips now, but that Carrie's Story has provided me an appreciation and understanding to the fetish. Weatherfield's writing will have you crying by the end of the novel, and gripping your bedsheets during the sex scenes. Sex, paired with the danger of sadism, has never been more explicit.

Two Knotty Boys Back on the Ropes
I think this book is worth the price and an essential for any kinkster's book collection just because even if has a bit of a learning curve for those not super-enthusiastic about learning how to tie it can prove to be a popular book among contacts and friends. I however would not recommend it to those that have little patience and motivation to learn or that simply want to get tied up by others unless that's who you're buying this for of course.

SM 101 is a rather one sided look at BDSM presented by the author, Jay Wiseman. It is more of an autobiography of his life and experiences in BDSM rather than a representation of what BDSM is in different contexts. It is not a "realistic introduction" as the title claims it to be, but rather a one sided look at the lifestyle. If you're looking to read one person's view on BDSM, then this is the book for you, otherwise I would suggest searching and browsing different authors and titles.
