Basic but Fun
Does the book live up to its title? For the most part, I would say yes. The positions contained should be accessible to most couples and I would say that it does contain 90 percent of the most used positions. New couples might have a hard time coming up with these positions on their own, so I feel it's a great addition to the bedroom of a couple looking to branch out.

Somewhat Basic.
The “Best Sex Positions Ever” by Alex Williams is a colorful guide to the ins and outs of some basic positions and practices. It lays down the basics in a fun and presentable manner. If you're looking to spice up your love making just a bit, read on to find out if this is the book for you.
The book is 128 pages long, printed on a heavy matte to semi-gloss paper. It has the words "sex positions" written boldly across the cover, along with a topless woman on top of a man, so it isn't exactly a book you want to leave on the coffee table. The quality of the printing is quite high however, and it is a very lovely book.
The book starts out with a segment titled “Foreplay Fun". This section gives a rundown o some beginner’s ideas for foreplay, such as strip teasing, kissing, and sensual message. If you're new to sex and intimacy, or if you feel your partner could use a few tips, this is a great section. More experienced couples however will likely know a lot of the information already.
After “Foreplay Fun” we jump into the positions. The great thing about this book is that positions are more or less organized from the easiest to the most difficult. This makes it a great jumping off point for couples that are tired of plain missionary, but aren't yet ready for the twists and bends in the “Kama Sutra”. The book may not be the best for couples looking to get a little crazy in the bedroom, although it does offer a few positions towards the end that even an experienced couple may find tough.
All in all, there are about seventy five positions available to choose from. Most of these are variations on classic positions such as missionary, doggy and girl on top. Each of the positions are described well enough so that you know exactly what to do. It even gives tips for getting into the position that you would like to try.
The end of the book is comprised of a section called “Taking It Further.” It contains some very basic information on anal sex, BDSM and role play. It doesn't go into much depth with these topics. I would consider the information given here an introduction to the ideas, rather than a guide.
The photography work does contain nudity, but is nothing outright X rated. If you're offended by a bare breast, then look elsewhere, otherwise however you won't be seeing any other explicit nudity. None the less, the photographs do a good job of illustrating the positions described. It doesn't hurt that they found young and attractive models either.
