I <3 Female Orgasm is a thorough reference book. Every owner of a vagina and clitoris and everyone interested in pleasing a vagina and clitoris can benefit from this book. It's easy to read yet chock full of information and insights. While it has enough info to be called a reference book, it's also entertaining to read. It's never dry and boring.
The authors Dorain Solot and Marshall Miller are sex educators traveling around the country giving presentations. They have come up with a comprehensive book on female orgasms. Orgasms from masturbation, oral sex, intercourse, toys, and even anal are covered. Lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders have their own chapter. The book ends with information on safe sex and birth control. This book contains many anecdotes and quotes from women and men they have interviewed. This gives it a bit of an informal and homey feel. It's not just all facts and statistics.
Of special interest to me was a section about intercourse orgasms. Many women have easy clitoral but elusive or nonexistent orgasms during intercourse. The authors provide a helpful step by step guide to train the body for vaginal orgasms. My body is different than most in that my clitoral orgasms tend to be elusive. I am using their advice but in reverse to see if I can coax out more clitoral orgasms. I'm not there yet but I'm working on it.
Snippets in the side bar are present throughout the book. It's fun leafing through the book just for these gems. Topics covered in these brief bites include when to call the doc, how do woman get wet, safewords: the sexual pause button, cunnilingus is nothing new, history of the dildo, and many more.
Longer charts/guides are also interspersed throughout the book. Topics include Spicing it up, Faking Dos and Don'ts, Birth Control Quick Reference Chart, and for the men Key Differences-Sex with your hand vs Intercourse with a woman.

The book itself is paperback with 283 pages. The print is easy to read. It's a normal size book that will fit on any bookshelf. The title is not exactly discreet but the cover is tasteful without any pictures. There are a few small sexual position drawings. It's mostly text- but very helpful text.

Experience
I have a small bookshelf lined with sex guides of all kinds. Some are great, some are kinda meh... I heart Female Orgasm is one of the greats. I have been looking for books to pass on to my daughter. She's not one to read a book from cover to cover (unlike me.) She likes books she can open up at random and read bits and pieces. She also appreciates a nice index so she can search for specific topics. This is the perfect book for her. It's full of good information but in a friendly and easy to use format.

The cover got me really excited because I thought that Eden was selling "I heart orgasm" buttons. I just thought that I'd share that since it's kind of funny. Thanks for reviewing!
