A Few Positions to Remember...
This could be a cute little gift for a friend, but most positions are indecipherable. The characters illustrating each position are almost stick people and we couldn't tell whose legs were whose, so actually trying out the position is often impossible. Some poses are innovative, but doing it on a hot air balloon just isn't natural or realistic at all.

Pros
Silly, cute, and sometimes witty, with a few good positions I had never tried.
Cons
Some positions require six people, and recommend sex with ridiculous props or in ridiculous places.
I bought this book online as joke-y wedding gift for my husband, thinking that we would have countless hours of "sex every day in every way." It turned out that's exactly what this book is: a joke. There are illustrations of each pose, one for each day of the year. Many, if not most, of the positions are quite ridiculous, and absolutely impossible... Some are just plain dumb. For example, "The Snowplow" shows a woman getting plowed by a snowman.... What? There are, however, a few enlightening positions, like "The Nudist Buddhist," in which the man lies flat on his back, while the woman sits in a meditation position on top of him. Some of the positions are actually quite intriguing, but ones like "The Snowplow" kind of make this book not worth it for me, if you're actually looking for something you would want to use in the bedroom.
As a gift, this book is really cute. If someone you know is getting married, it's a silly little bachelorette party gift, and at a really reasonable price. For most, it's usually hard to give someone a sexy gift and not cross a line or feel uncomfortable. The Position of the Day book overcomes this awkwardness with the silly, ridiculous poses. The names of the poses alone make it as not awkward as possible and push it into the "cute" column. I would laugh if I got this as a gift, even if my grandma were at the party. I wouldn't cringe and hide it behind other gifts.
I would have recommended this book so much more if each pose came with a description, but it doesn't. In fact, there aren't any words in the book at all besides the names of the poses and the equipment needed, which in some cases happens to be parachutes, airplanes, or stilts. I really, really wish there were descriptions or instructions for some of these poses. Some of them look nice but the logistics aren't immediately obvious. "The Static Cling" might be really nice if I could actually figure out what it is the almost-stick people are doing and how to do it.
So, even though you might not actually try the "IKEA Showroom" pose, you will probably get a few laughs out of the positions. I would recommend it as a silly gift, but if you're trying to get off with your man or woman, this is not the sexiest book ever.

Thank you for viewing Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way – erotic book review page!
Your review is funny and sincere. I think this is one of those things that just by telling the truth about it makes it funny too...and you did a good job of making your points about the helpful content and the fluff that while amusing isn't really useful / possible for most people.
