50 Shades of Fuck me!

I really did enjoy reading the first book in this installment, it was sexy, had good potential, gave me new ideas to freak things up in the sack... and most importantly... got my engine running. I could not put this book down!

About author

This is the first series of books that E.L. James has published. She started out writing fan fiction, on a fan-fic website, about the twilight series. Like many of us, she wanted to see a more hardcore version of the tween heart-throb series. She did a decent job, I mean obviously, she's hit it off in the US with this series. However, you can definitely tell she is not an experienced writer. She has great potential, I mean, she did sit down and write three whole books, but she is definitely a novice writer.

Ok, so I'll admit it. I was completely enthralled with the first book in this series. I finished reading it in a matter of hours, and was eager for more. This book is probably one of the things that made me start exploring my own personal kinks, and to become bolder in the bedroom. It's hot, it's steamy... it was way too short lived. The book itself, is about a relationship that develops between two unlikely partners, a sexy, rich, sadistic entrepreneur and a modest, innocent, yet slightly defiant college grad. It delves into just the tip of the BDSM world, and can give a beginner many new ideas. Though those looking for a more "Hardcore" read need look elsewhere. I quickly felt the waters growing tepid, and was filled with the urge to delve deeper into the depravity of our dear sweet Mr. Grey... and readied myself for book two. Unfortunately, I do believe the novelty wore off about halfway through, but I'll go into more detail about that in my review of the second book.

Follow-up commentary
This book was ok. However, I will never ever be reading it again. It's just not the kind of book I can get into.

love these books who care if they arent hardcore bondage it doesnt mean they lie everyone has there own kink this is just a good love story

It's not the lack of hardcore bondage that failed to hold me to the serious, its the fact that it is glorified fan fiction. The writer is very lacking in description, you can tell she hasn't had the formal training, and it's something she has haphazardly thrown together. Even some of the grammar is terrible.
