Silicone can be washed, bleached, boiled, and sanitized to your heart's content. The bullet is waterproof, but does have electrical components, so I wouldn't boil it. We generally just wash it with hot water and liquid antibacterial hand soap and wipe it dry. We store both parts in a plastic zip top sandwich bag.
