It is made of TPE (thermoplastic). It is fairly seamless, and my boyfriend said that made it very comfortable for him. He is kind of large, and some products are too tight for him. The Vibro comes in a plastic sleeve and is assembled with batteries in the package. There is a small novel of instructions on care, usage, and cleaning in numerous languages. I'm not sure that it's all that necessary, but it helps.

Most rings that are in this price range are one-time use only. That is part of the reason that I chose this one. I am a first time user, and I figured if we liked it, I wanted to be able to use it more than one time.
