The first thing I am going to say is that it does not have an on/off switch that stays on. The on/off switch is supposed to be pressed in with each thrust. However, it doesn't always work that way. We found it worked best with the cowgirl position, and that's what felt the best for me. Depending on who and how you use it, it may vary. My boyfriend is rather large and was able to fit it on him when he was hard, which was a great start. We think the toy may have been designed to work better if it was put on around his balls and shaft, but he was nervous about trying to do that because he's never put a cock ring on that way since most of them don't usually fit him as it is. But after we found the trick that worked best for us and the type of buzz feeling I like, it was a very handy toy and easy to pack for vacation for a little thrill. It's a soft material, so even though I was nervous about the texture because it looks like it might be a little too hard to rub on a sensitive area. It wasn't at all; it was super soft and felt just right. If this stayed on, I would also suggest for alone playtime, but with its design, it's better suited for couples, in my opinion. There were no weird smells, it was small, the buzz didn't seem too loud, and it stretched out nicely, so it didn't feel cheap like it was going to tear apart, but it also wasn't too rigid, so that it barely stretched at all.

We first tried it in the Anvil position, which is already a great position, and thought that would be a good way to get it to reach all the right places. It did; however, it also didn't turn on very often because of the switch only being pressed on when pressed together. After it didn't seem to work very well that way, we tried it in the cowgirl position, we figured gravity would naturally help it work, and it did. It worked really well, so I would definitely suggest that position as a start and definitely try other positions to find the best one for you.
