The Intreguing & Improved Stroker XL!

The Stroker XL is rather impressive in both form and execution as it really does represent a level of quality that all male sex toys should today. Its silicone construction is capable of being sterilized, holding heat, and can very well be a part of your collection for decades to come. But like most good things, it does have a few flaws that distract from its greatness.
Published:
Pros
High quality material composition, minimalistic presentation, discreet.
Cons
Can be a bit painful, also slightly noisy, rather small being described as "XL".

Use

In regards to usage, apparently the original Stroker Sleeve was criticized by some as being tight to the point of inducing pain, and while the Stroker XL is larger, it is also still capable of being somewhat unpleasant. So if you intend to gain maximum usage from this toy, consider using a copious amount of (water based) lubricant to prevent any snags. Due to the lack of a self-enclosed end, suction is not created by default, so you'll have to use a finger or some other appendage to induce the desired effect. Like most male masturbators, the head & shaft are the focal point of this toy. Given the material's hardness, I would have to recommend the Stroker XL to those who prefer a bit more bite to their extracurricular activities.

Material / Texture

As the Stroker XL is composed of 100% silicone there was no presence of unbecoming scents or sensations. It was in fact, much more kosher than most toys on the market today. I feel it really does represent the future of male sex toys as the level of safety present in the Stoker XL's silicone composition and non-porous nature should be something that is promoted by more firms in this market. However, there is a price to be had for the material safety and it lies in the silicone's natural stiffness. For some, this may prove to be appealing, but in my case it just made the task at hand that much harder to focus on as things became more painful. For that reason I can not really recommend this sort of toy texture to beginners unless that sort of thing excites you.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Rigid

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

Aesthetically, the Stroker XL is a great deal more unassuming than most modern day masturbators, and whether this is to be chalked up to limitations in the material choice or was a conscious decision on Tantus's part is beside the point. But it should be noted that the Stroker XL is very much a modern masturbation sleeve and its milky, post-modern exterior more closely resembles something one would purchase from Ikea as opposed to a sex shop. As stated earlier, the Stroker XL is larger than its predecessor, and thus more able to accommodate the average sized man this time around. The sleeve fit was not too much of a problem but you have to use a lot of lubricant to go anywhere with it, and in my case the ribbing was just a little too inflexible to really feel good. If you are able to gain some momentum, things can certainly become intriguing for the involved parties, but be sure to hold that erection if you're more of a multi-orgasmic man. Because if you lose that in a session, it can be hard to reseat the sleeve compared to masturbators composed of softer compounds. Also, the length is relatively standard at about 5 inches so if you're particularly well hung, be sure to look elsewhere, because even the Stroker XL will not be able to meet your needs.
    • Discreet look/design
    • Ergonomic
    • May be too tight for some

Functions / Performance / Controls

In terms of noise, the Stroker XL can prove to be rather distracting as it does not have a ventilation chamber or any other reprieve built in to cut down on this. So while there are no mechanical aspects to this masturbator, it may disturb the neighbors if the room you're in is really quiet. It should also be noted that due to the frequency of the internal ribbing, body fluids and any other liquids in use on the area in question tend to get "stuck" inside the Stroker XL, thus necessitating a healthy stock of whatever you prefer to use within your toys.
    • Easy to use
    • Very stimulating

Care and Maintenance

The Stroker XL is an absolute dream to maintain due to the fact that it is made of non-porous silicone which means that it can be sterilized in the dish washer, stove top pot, or even a diluted 10% bleach solution. If you're going to opt for boiling, consider that it is safely handled up to about 600 degrees Fahrenheit, and it should be on the range for no more than 15 minutes, but 5 should certainly suffice. If necessary, it can also be turned inside out for cleaning purposes, and after it has been sterilized, just place it in a dry towel or hang it out to dry. Since it is made of silicone, be sure to use only water based lubricants as petroleum or silicone lubes will make the silicone runny thus ruining your $40 investment.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Unlike a lot of other male masturbators out there, the Stoker XL's packaging is demure at best, and almost uninformative at worst. There are no pictures of scantly clad women to turn one's attention to the product, just an informative cardboard vignette surrounding the plastic enclosed toy. I presume the consumer is assumed to have been informed about the Stroker XL before hand, but maybe this sort of minimalism will stand out in shops that are indeed over saturated with the raw spectacle of sex.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal

Personal comments

I was really quite excited to get a hold of this toy, and in theory, it should be great. Hell, for the most part it is, but in all actuality, it will not be used as much as I had hoped due to the fact that the Stroker XL is still somewhat painful (for me). But I like the innovations that debuted in this sleeve, and if Tantus decides to produce a wider line of masturbation sleeves for men with varying needs based off of this then the Stroker XL could be the basis of a male product line reaching Hitachi-esque heights.
Follow-up commentary
The Stroker XL has yet to really come across my good graces in the time since I last reviewed it. However, the questionable material hardness will occasionally suit my whims and lend itself to an acceptable experience, but this does not occur very frequently with the Stroker XL for me. It still tends to run a little too tight and it can be difficult for me to manage my refractory periods with the Stroker XL in comparison to masturbators made of softer materials. I really do wish there was a material that provided the poreless nature of silicone and softness of the PVC's and related composites. Until then I can only recommend the Stroker XL to men without concerns such as these or those that do not mind the toy's potential for pain.

You write really well and have some great info here, but I was still left with questions. What are the dimensions? Are you average or above? That would help give a better idea of who this might not be too tight for. What about the texture? You mentioned cleaning it inside out, could you use it inside out as well?

I just got this in the mail today and was disappointed in how small it was. length wise it's okay but my partner is probably going to be too girthy to fit comfortably inside this. (sigh) So much for XL...

I'm sorry to hear that Sex & Lies. The "XL" in the title is rather misleading as most average men may very well have trouble with this one.

In regards to the first point, the dimensions are about "5 x 2" or 5 inches in length & 2" in diameter. Needless to say anyone significantly over 5" in length is not going to be pleased with the Stroker XL, and those with a large girth won't be as well. I though I mentioned it before, but the texture internally is ribbed much like "for her pleasure" condoms and is not very natural at all. Finally, I would not risk using it inside it out unless one wanted to be the recipient of a very nasty Indian burn lol. Thanks for the good questions ~LaUr3n~.
