Return Of The Tighty Whities
Okay, so they are not tighty whities, but they definitely are tight in areas and are white. Since everyone's tastes are different, these may be what you are looking for. Unfortunately for me, these are just another pair of underwear.
Published:
Pros
Sized accurately
Cons
Somewhat tight in areas, Design just doesn't work for me
Let's return to the days of old when a man's choice of underwear were either baggy boxers or white briefs (also known as tighty whities). When I requested these for review, I thought they would be somewhat like the picture as shown on the listing, and since none of my other underwear is white, I thought why not give white boxer briefs a chance? Plus we have always been pleased with the lingerie for women made by Coquette, the manufacturer of these briefs.
These arrived in a simple cellophane package without the usual pictures and descriptions. They are constructed of 90% nylon and 10% spandex. Washing label on the attached tag states "Hand wash in cold water only, drip dry, do not bleach, do not iron." As far as the washing, hand washing is just not going to happen in our household. We have washed these in the washing machine on casual setting and dried on medium, and to date have had no problems with them. As far as bleach and ironing, haven't seen either for years and not sure we have either.
Sizing appears to be somewhat accurate. I have a 36" waist and ordered a large which is listed as 36"-38". When putting them on however they do seem somewhat on the tight side, both in the thighs and across the rear. They have a seam which runs down the back center, which looks somewhat like a pair of my wife's shaping panties, which are designed to "lift and shape the derriere." I'm sorry but my butt, which is just about nonexistent, does not need to be lifted or shaped! The crotch has a contoured pouch, but again I'm not sure who it was contoured for. Definitely not me! When worn in the pecker down position, there is a pouch of loose material hanging there, somewhat like what Kindred refers to as "crotch wattle" in his review of a white jockstrap from the same company.
These are not as long in length from the waist to crotch area as shown in the picture. They are more like boyshorts. Perfect to wear if you do a lot of bending over and want to give the world a view of your butt crack. The waist band is about 1 1/4" wide with ZAKK printed on it eight times. Is somewhat comfortable for a short period of time, but I have noticed each time I wear these that with any activity the waistband rolls down and becomes somewhat uncomfortable.
We did not notice any loose threads and all stitching appears to be done nicely. For those who prefer underwear with a fly front, forget these as there is none.
Now, having been mostly negative about these, I will have to say that when worn for longer periods of time, they are comfortable to wear with the exception of the waist rolling down. My wife is not overly crazy about their appearance, so guess I will just save them for everyday wear at work.

Experience
When selecting underwear I try to wear something that my wife finds at least visually appealing, if not downright sexy. There is a possibility that a pair of these boxers in black or other color might meet that criteria, but unfortunately plain white just doesn't do it for her.

Thanks for the review. Hubby has these in black and while I really like them on him we've noticed the same thing about the crotch.

Thank you for the review. Sorry that didn't work out well.

Thanks for the review, I guess these aren't going on my wishlist. There are other more highly rated ones, thanks goodness.
