This toy was best used for a little sensation for my boyfriend, on his "boys" on his own and while we had sex. We needed a lot of lube, we used a water base, but silicone is okay to use to get this toy to go on and to get it back off. Once on, the toy stayed in place for the most part, but when we got rough, the ring tended to pull and pinch skin, which was not comfortable for either of us during sex. The pinching and pulling really killed the mood for both of us and took a lot away from this cock ring.

The Prolong ring could be used alone by a man during masturbation, or as a couple during sex for a little added stimulation for both people. It is not very versatile, and is only made for the male anatomy. The ring is a tight fit and I would not recommend putting it around the testicles, because it is made for a very snug fit and not made for the testicles. The bullet on top of the ring allowed me to feel the slightest vibrations when against my skin, but did nothing for me really because it did not hit any sensitive areas on my body while we were actually having sex, but could be felt more when I was rubbing him. The bullet was also slightly uncomfortable at times for me when we were having sex because it did not line up with my anatomy and pushed against the wrong places on me. I would say that this toy could be used for beginners because there are three intensities of vibrations, and this is a very basic prolong ring and vibrator.
There really is nothing fancy about this toy. Besides the ring, there is a small vibrating bullet that comes with this toy and can be taken out or left in. It is small and very quiet, but its vibrations are not very strong unless taken out of the ring and used that way. There are three settings which makes the vibrations more intense with every click, and then shuts off after the third setting. This is nice because you can easily reach the button and put it on the setting you like most.

The material is a jelly-like plastic (TPE) and has a faint plastic smell, but it's hardly noticeable at all. The jelly material does collect fuzzies and whatnot, so be sure to wash with a toy cleaner that is made for this kind of material or warm soapy water because this product can not be boiled. I store all my products like this in separate Ziplock bags so nothing clings to them while they wait to be used, and I take the batteries out so nothing accidentally gets turned on and so that the batteries last longer.

The Prolong ring is very stretchy and fit really well for my boyfriend's average size penis. The ring stretches pretty big and goes back to its original shape. Its maximum stretch length is 3 inches in diameter, while it is 3/8 inches by itself. I'm not sure why, but this toy now has small markings after being used. In my follow up review I will discuss whether or not these marks become a problem or not. The texture is very smooth and feels almost squishy when handled. This kind of plastic is not as porous as Cyberskin, but is more porous than silicone, so you might want to use condoms while using this toy and if you are sharing it. Again, washing is a must to keep it clean, and you healthy.

The entire ring with the vibrator is indeed waterproof, so this could be used in the shower, but we have not tried that yet so I do not know how well that will work, but it is worth a try and makes clean up easier.

The ring has supports to help it stay in place with the vibrator as well, which helps with stability, but we found that it can pinch the skin slightly in some very sensitive areas, so use lots of lube before and during use so the ring does not pinch or pull. The vibrator that comes with this toy is powered by three watch batteries, and 6 comes in the package, so that is very nice for the customer. The batteries have not died or dimmed the vibrations yet and we have used the toy about ten times in the past week, so that's really good. The vibrator is very quiet and has three speeds that have a noticeable change in the vibration speeds. We took the vibrator out of the ring and it still stayed in place, but was not as stimulating without it. The bullet by itself is pretty small and the ring itself can easily fit in the palm of my hand, so traveling with this Prolong ring is very easy.
On the paper inside the container that this ring comes in, says to only use water based lubricants for maximum pleasure and the water based lube we used did the trick. You can use either silicone or water based lubricants with this product.

Personally, I think that the overall design keeps the penis in mind, but not so much on dual stimulation for couples. The overall shape is great for an average size penis with not being too tight or too loose, but that depends on the individual. The toy's vibrator has a lot of power by itself, but when put into the ring, not much can be felt through the shaft of the penis, which was a bit of a disappointment for me, and not enough power for my boyfriend. The texture however, is very smooth and jelly-like, which we both loved. Once he was lubed up and ready to go I had a couple issues with putting the ring on. First off, the inner ring has a couple attachments that are for stability while the vibrator is in, but it makes the ring a little harder to slide on. Secondly, the ring pinches and pulls the skin a little once on. Maybe more lube would help that issue, but it made our fist cock-ring experience slow and not all that sensual at all. Because it is plastic it was easy to clean, but again, the whole pulling skin and hair issue was quite the turn off for this couple.

The size of this toy cannot really be adjusted, but stretched. I can see where that could be a problem for some who are a little more endowed, but fits well for the average penis size and shape. The vibrator can be removed with little effort and placed back into its little holder easily, which is nice if you want to try something different after using this toy. Once on the ring, the vibrations are a lot less intense compared to the bullet by itself, but the ring does still stay in place when the vibrator is on. The vibrations are turned on with a click of the button that is located on the end of the vibrator.

Taking this toy off was almost painful and needed more lube. It did not necessarily leave my man hurt, but it did pull skin and hair which cause some pain, especially when the penis is so sensitive. On the package it stated not to leave on for more than thirty minutes, or use while intoxicated because it can bruise and hurt a man's penis, and no one wants that to happen.

This toy's vibrator has three functions. The first speed is very discreet and teasing. The next is noticeably more intense, but still very quiet. The third is the most intense and can be quite satisfying for my stimulation without the ring, It's almost too much for my boyfriend by itself, but once on the ring, the vibrations are toned way down. That could be just what someone is looking for and maybe good for a beginner, but was just not what I was hoping for. The button is located on the end of the vibrator and could easily be turned on, which could be both good and bad. Good because the vibrator is easy to turn on, but it could be bad if it turned on accidentally. The noise level, however, is exceedingly low and almost undetectable.

The packaging, as in the shipping box, is always very discrete and is in a pretty small box in the shape of a square. It just says that is comes from a "Web Merchant" which is nice when you do not want others knowing what you are receiving. I live in a dorm and no one would ever suspect my packages being sex toys. This toy comes in a clear casing with a small piece of paper that briefly describes the product inside. It comes with six watch batteries, and the toy takes three at a time. I was surprised that there was no plastic like sheaf covering the toy because it does pick up a lot of dust and particles if left out, but it didn't. The case it came in could be reused, but it is rather big compared to the actual toy, so I just use Ziplock bags for each of my toys and then keep them in another case to be a little discrete.

This toy is nice because it does fit well and has the vibrator, but besides those points, my boyfriend and I did not necessarily love this product. It has a few good qualities, in that it is waterproof, easy to clean, and something different, but it is just not the right ring for us. I thought that we'd give it a try and I will try more, but this ring just did not do the trick. Whether it was the pinching and pulling, the uncomfortable positions with my anatomy, or the vibrations not being strong enough for my partner while in the ring, we just did not enjoy this cock ring as much as I had hoped. It was slightly disappointing, but some will like this toy and may even love it.
