The Je Joue Mio is one of those rare premium cockrings on the market today. Unlike so many of the other low quality, cheap material type vibrating rings out there, the Mio is made of a plush, extremely high quality silicone that feels great against the skin under normal wear and absolutely fantastic with the vibrations running wild. This is a ring that works great with a partner but also works incredibly well as a solo item. Both men and women can get excellent satisfaction out of this as a masturbation toy but it really shines when used by a couple.

The Mio is made of premium body-safe silicone which rates a full ten on the material safety scale. Silicone has all sorts of great features such as being hypo-allergenic, completely non-porous, extremely heat resistant, easy to sterilize, and latex free. Silicone is often found in medical settings and in high end adult products. While silicone can be formed into many shapes and textures, the Mio is smooth and soft. It has an almost velvet-like texture that gives it a little grip and resistance. As silicone has no chemicals or additives, the Mio has no noticeable taste or odor and due to the non-porous nature of the material, it cannot pick up any odors in the future either.

While many of the other vibrating cockrings I have tried tend to be fairly large and bulky, I was surprised at how small and compact the Mio turned out to be. I usually compare vibrating cockrings to those ring pop candies for size. Not the most scientific process I know, but it works for me. If you look at any of the vibrating rings from, say, Cal Exotics, you notice they tend to be pretty big or off center. This is usually because the vibrating bullet is often separate from the ring itself and is usually attached externally in some fashion. This makes them bigger than they need to be though it gives you access to the bullet which is necessary for changing the batteries. The Mio holds its vibrating unit inside itself and is charged with a magnetic plug that attaches to the bottom of the unit. This makes the Mio extremely compact and very easy to maneuver into whatever position you want.

The silicone body is very stretchy and can accommodate a variety of shaft sizes. The Mio can be worn either around the shaft of the penis or around the shaft and scrotum. I have used several silicone cockrings in the past that have been so rigid and resistant to stretch that getting them over the scrotum made the user wonder if he would ever get them off again. The Mio does not suffer from this at all since it is a very soft and flexible variety of silicone construction. Also unlike other varieties of cockring, the Mio silicone does not catch and pull pubic hairs the way some rings, particularly the TPR cockrings, tend to do.

The Mio uses the same vibration patterns as the other compact vibrators in Je Joue's product line. Pressing the squiggle button cycles through the different patterns while the plus and minus buttons increase and decrease the vibration power. Since all three buttons are sealed the Mio remains completely waterproof and the settings can be adjusted while immersed in water. The least powerful vibration is a soft buzz that is fairly stimulating. I found it effective as a massage setting to run over someone's back and across their legs. The middle power settings are pretty standard for a toy of this type and the highest power vibration is so incredibly powerful that it very nearly cannot be used. It buzzes with such power that any part of you in contact with it soon goes numb. As a general use setting, the highest setting isn't that useful but when used at the crescendo of a masturbation session, it could be the last little bit you need to send you into orbit.

Since the Mio is waterproof it's very easy to clean. Just wipe it down with a toy cleaner or antibacterial wipe and let it dry. Even though the Mio is primarily silicone, keep it out of your dishwasher or boiling water. The heat from both will ruin the battery and motors and that would be an awful shame. While we're talking about silicone, be sure not to use any silicone lube with this guy. The lube will bond and forever scar the outside of the toy. Just stick to plain old water based lube and you should be in good shape.
