Perfectly Capable Penis Pistol Pump
For what it is, the Colt Pistol Pump delivers a quality product built to last. A solid - if not rugged - build with universal fittings provides the user with a device that should last for years. With a few tweaks, this pump would be perfect by reducing discomfort in the act of pumping the grip.

Pros
Solid build; pressure gauge; universal fittings for a wide range of applications.
Cons
Handle could be more comfortable; pumping is laborious and hard on hands.
So, here we have a basic pistol-operating vacuum pump. It really isn't that different from most other vacuum pumps - there's a vacuum cylinder, a mechanism for drawing the air out connected to an exhaust valve, and a pressure gauge. The pressure gauge is the only real distinguishing factor in a field filled with vacuum pumps - having a visual reference as to how much negative pressure is being applied in the device of your choice (penis cylinder, clitoral or nipple cylinder, rosebud cylinder, or vulva cup) is a good way of double-checking for safety, but is ultimately a bit of flash to distinguish this pump from the others on the market.
The pistol grip on this model turns out to be a mixed blessing - on the one hand, it allows for (theoretically) easy one-handed operation with a fairly easy gesture. On the other hand, the pistol grip doesn't distribute the force well, so all the work being done is driven into narrow bands on the hands and fingers, making it tedious to use. On top of that, the force required to operate the pump can be tiresome; unless you are used to strength-building exercises for the fingers, the pump will quickly wear your hands out.
On the plus side, this means your hands will be in much stronger shape for playing a stringed instrument.
Instruction-wise, the pump is lacking - there were no real instructions on how to use the pump, which I suppose isn't that surprising. I would have liked to have a reference for safe pressures, but this turned out to be a moot point given that I haven't been able to keep a quality seal with the cylinder with one hand while operating the pump in the other. Given the nature of the device, it really shouldn't come into contact with any fluids, so sharing a pump between friends shouldn't be an issue (just be sure to thoroughly clean the cylinder between users if using the same cylinder). One word of warning - do NOT use this device in water, and do not attempt to wash the device by rinsing or submerging in water, as this can cause a host of issues from messing up the air seal or lubrication to causing corrosion inside the vacuum chamber.
Overall, the device is satisfactory - the key faults I found with it pertain either to the difficulty in operation (a fault of physics more than design), or difficulty in drawing a vacuum (a fault of the seal for the cylinder). While the pump doesn't blow me away, it is certainly a quality piece of equipment for those interested in pumping, or in combining finger strength exercises with penis enlargement.
One star knocked off for the handle - because really, it would have made a huge difference if the handle were more comfortable and spread the force out to a larger surface area on the hands and fingers.

If you can't get it to seal, then it isn't doing its job, correct? Do you think the one you have is faulty? I would hate to spend money on a pump that didn't work. Thanks for the review.

@Jimbo Jones - sorry if I wasn't clear in the review. The pump itself had no problems - my problems with drawing a proper vacuum were with the seals on the cylinder. When I could get the cylinder to seal properly around the base of my penis, it worked fine.

Thanks for the review

I can see the uncomfortable handle taking the fun out of it for me - I'm a chick, and usually the one working the pump

I purchased a pump and cylinder before and found I couldn't work the damn pump! It was plastic and I could never figure out where the failure was coming from (the pump or cylinder seal). Either way, it worries me to see that there are similar issues with a more expensive product as well. What really is the best option for penis pumps - or is there one at all?

Thanks for the review; I now know not to get this style due to poor hand strength.
