One Size Does Not Fit All
It's hard to give a product a fair shake when it doesn't fit you. My experience with the Adonis Ring is that it would work great for somebody it fits, but when it comes to cock rings, a good fit is the most important attribute the toy can have. The Adonis Ring won't fit everybody comfortably, but for those it does, I imagine it would work great.

It is only with complete anonymity that I feel comfortable writing this review. I say this because my previous reviews have not required me to talk a great deal about the dimensions of my own penis, but this review absolutely requires it. I have never measured the girth of my penis, but for you bigger guys who may be considering a cock ring: measure first. Break out a tape measure, break out the old geometry formulas, and figure out the diameter before you buy anything. Mind you, I don't have a ton of experience with cock rings. Every cock ring I have used has been made of stretchy material, and while I've never had a problem in the past, I admit that my inexperience may have sown the seeds of calamity here, or that cock rings are supposed to make you feel like your penis will explode if poked with a pin. However, my subjective experience was that the Adonis Ring was not large enough for me to wear comfortably.
Our cautionary tale begins in the kitchen. I remove the Adonis Ring from its mail packaging and examine the flat, transparent plastic casing in which it is housed. The package is rather conspicuous, but it's small and flat enough that I can keep it for later storage. The package pops open easily, and I inspect the ring to find that it has a faint citrus smell to it, rather than the plastic smell I had expected. It has no taste that I can discern. I stretch the ring a bit, and find it stretches quite a bit, while in my hand. I then try it on while still flaccid, and find it a bit tight, but not uncomfortable. I put it away, and wait for an appropriate time to try it out.
Without getting into unnecessary detail, I found an appropriate time to try it out. Without thinking much of it, I stretched the ring out and pulled it over my already erect penis. Lesson #1: do not stretch the ring out and pull it over your already erect penis. I tried to let go gently. I failed. The ring clamped down on my wang with all the tenderness of a mousetrap. I stood a bit and waited to see if it became more comfortable, watching my penis take on grotesque colors and proportions. Realizing that I had apparently misjudged the ring's ability to accommodate my girth, I decided to remove it. My first instinct was to try to stretch the ring apart. This proved difficult and, if not impossible, unlikely to succeed without some further injury. So I opted for trying to roll the ring off. Lesson #2, rolling a very tight silicone ring across your unlubricated penis can feel a lot like the Indian burn (or is it Native American burn? I don't understand the origin of this term and apologize if it offends anybody) your friends used to give you in grammar school. So I stopped and lubed up.
Even with lubricant, it felt and looked like I was trying to squeeze the last bit of toothpaste from a tube. Only the tube was my penis, and the toothpaste was blood. Then I got to the head, where the ring nestled into a ridge, much more pronounced now than usual, and refused to go any further. After briefly rolling the ring back and forth a few times as if trying to free a car stuck in the mud, I managed to slide the ring off completely.
I cleaned the ring, repacked it in its plastic case, and returned it to my drawer. I've tried the ring several times since, always lubing up first and rolling it on as best I can, but still don't feel comfortable wearing it. Although it can stretch to accommodate me without instant and lasting injury, things just don't look or feel right down there while I'm wearing it. It's easy enough to clean with soap and water, or even by boiling, and stretches well enough without incurring damage, but simply doesn't seem intended for men my size. I might have discovered that by reading the description page and taking it seriously, and I would recommend that those of you who are considering the Adonis Ring do so. The ring may stretch to larger dimensions than 1 1/2", but it won't do so comfortably. I don't particularly care for the aesthetics of the design, but if you fall within the recommended range, the Adonis Ring is an affordable choice made of quality material.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
Having tried to use the adonis ring a few more times, I've found that with enough lube and prep, I can get the ring on without too much of a disaster. Nevertheless, it still feels uncomfortably tight, and certainly doesn't do anything to improve my sex life. While the size issue may not be such a problem for everyone, I still don't feel that the ring's design is aesthetically pleasing. For the price, it's not a bad buy, but if you've got the money for something prettier, or enough girth to be worried, I'd stay away from this one.

Thanks for the review

thanks for your review.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I dislike "struggling" to get into a cock ring that's presumably made of a stretchable material.
