Ohhhhh YES. (Teal, M)
I would love to have more pieces in this fabric, such as tees and tank tops, or pajama sets designed for women! It is one of the softest, most comfortable things I've ever felt on my texture-sensitive skin. If you have the Bamboo Lounge Pant, you should know that the boxer has a smaller fit, and you may want to size up.
Published:
Pros
Wide waistband; Super-soft; Stretchy; Breathable; Antibacterial; Nice packaging.
Cons
Boxer fits smaller through hips than bamboo pant.
Basics
The Bamboo Boxer Short comes to us courtesy of Male Power, a men's specialty underwear company. This boxer may be designed for the boys, but its soft, rich fabric and relaxed shape is attractive on people of any gender, and the wide elastic waistband is easy to roll down if a lower rise is desired. It doesn't have any side pockets, like the Bamboo Lounge Pant has; however, it does have a covered, single-button fly opening for convenience during the night, or for giving your partner a way to reach in and tease you. This item is made in China.
Look & Feel
The boxer short features a 1.25-inch-wide black elastic waistband, which feels thick and sturdy, but also has a lot of stretch. This band is detailed with an pattern composed of the "mp" logo in teal, alternating with a small design of three black leaves chasing each other around a teal circle. The top and bottom edges of the band are decorated with narrow teal stripes.
Front:
The rest of the boxer is made up of a luxuriously soft, silky fabric, which flows gracefully over curves and angles alike. It has a bit of weight to it, while remaining fairly thin. The convenience opening sits on the front center seam, and begins an inch down from the waistband. It is 3.75 inches long. There are three layers to this fly, and each layer is made of doubled-over fabric: the inner layer features a single button sewn in its center; the middle layer contains the button-hole; and the outer layer covers the whole thing. This is excellent design and construction. The legs have a bit of a flared shape, made to fit differently-sized thighs.

Sizing & Fit
Male Power's size chart doesn't give us much detail--it simply says that a size Medium will fit waist sizes from 32 inches to 34 inches. I had purchased the Small in the black color as a gift for my partner, who is 5'3", weighs 135 (rather muscular) pounds, has a 30-inch waist and 38-inch hips, and wears a size 30 or 31 when she wears men's pants; the Small was a good fit for her. My own dimensions are: 5'5" in height, 140 pounds in weight, 28-inch waist circumference, and 40-inch hip circumference. The Small was okay for me, but a little more fitted than I wanted--the Medium fits me much better than the Small did.
Measurements are as follows:
Waistband*: 30" - 40"
Hips*: 45"
Front Rise: 11"
Rear Rise: 14"
Inseam: 4"
Leg Opening*: 27.5"
Total Length: 15"
*Measured flat, then doubled; waistband measurement from unstretched to comfortably stretched.
The inseam may sound short, but it works out well with the longer rise; together, they provide plenty of room between the thighs for those who need it there, while also allowing those without such equipment to roll down the waistband without causing an uncomfortable camel-toe effect.
Content & Care
The fabric of this boxer is composed of 95% bamboo, with 5% Lycra spandex added for stretch. According to the printing on the box, this bamboo is "100% naturally grown" and "100% biodegradable." Bamboo has the property of being naturally antibacterial, which helps prevent undesirable scents when wearing; on top of this, it's a breathable and moisture-wicking fabric, helping to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable.
The care tag recommends that you machine-wash this boxer in cool water with no bleach, and tumble-dry it on a cool setting. I would suggest hanging it up to dry if you want to extend its life, as the heat in a dryer will cause the spandex to break down over time. You should also wash it with other dark items to avoid the possibility of creating new colors on your t-shirts and underwear.
Packaging
The box it comes in is the same size as the one for the lounge pant, about 10.5 x 6 x 2 inches--much too roomy for this little boxer short. It is nice looking, though, with an image of a man wearing the boxer next to some bamboo plants. It has an attractive matte finish, and adds to the impression of a quality product.
Unfortunately, mine arrived squashed almost flat, as it was shipped in a large, white, bubble-wrap-lined envelope instead of the usual cardboard box:
Inside the box, the boxer is folded up inside in a clear plastic bag. A paperboard tag is attached to the care tag in the waistband: one side of this tag shows a man modeling the item, and the other extolls the virtues of bamboo fabric and lists the company's website.

Experience
I had initially ordered the black Bamboo Lounge Pant in Small as a gift for my partner; when it arrived, I tried it on, and didn't want to take it off! It was cool, soft, comfortable, and looked sexy on. I managed to exercise some self-control and remove the pant, repackage it, and save it for surprising her. I next ordered the black Bamboo Boxer Short in Small for her, and the boxer feels just as fantastic as the pant does, but fits a little smaller. The Small fit my partner well, as her hips/backside are a couple of inches smaller than mine. Since I wanted them for myself as well, though, I ordered the Medium in the teal boxer. These will be getting a lot of wear this summer. I plan to order the lounge pant in teal, too, and am very hopeful that it will come back in stock soon!
Follow-up commentary
19 days after original review
I've been practically living in this boxer, and have washed it a number of times now. I use the gentle cycle, cold water, and hang it to dry with my undies. It still looks and feels like new. I'm so very happy with this purchase, and may need to buy multiples.
