Having been introduced to male masturbators via the Fleshlight, I had since become curious what some of the "lower-end" models felt like. Those with varied internal textures, such as the Real Love Shake, looked like they might provide a particularly novel experience not available with the consistent texture and shape of a Fleshlight.

The Real Love Shake is a 6" long, closed-end sleeve, with an entrance that looks somewhat like a very tiny set of labia with an even smaller central hole. The gelatinous texture of the toy means that you'll need to hold the sleeve in your hand if you want to do any thrusting.

This toy is suitable for both individual and couple use. The non-structured design of the sleeve means that whoever is on the "giving" end of this experience gets to squeeze and soft or as hard as they'd like to simulate any level of pressure. Conversely, this also means that the Real Love Shake lacks some of the "idiot-proof" design of the Fleshlight's simplicity.

The TPE material feels very plush and squishy. When squeezed in your hand, the material readily distends and stretches. This feature is particularly useful for this toy given the incredibly narrow diameter of the vaginal opening; the user can place their fingers in the hole and stretch it out over the head of their penis to fit as necessary.

Because the Real Love Shake is made out of TPE, which is not dissimilar to a very soft silicone, condoms should be used if the toy is going to be shared. Unlike silicone, however, the toy may not be boiled to sanitize, yet may be used with silicone lubricants.

When the toy first arrived, it carried a strong smell not dissimilar to other flesh-like materials. After a brief initial rinsing, the Real Love Shake is left with only a faint odor.

To my fingers, the internal texture of the sleeve, when lubricated, feels like a particularly soft vagina. While the variations of the sleeve's internal shape provide varying levels of stimulation, the TPE material itself feels very good to thrust into.

While the Real Love Shake is a 6" closed-end sleeve, the incredible extensibility of the TPE material means that this sleeve can go somewhat farther. Similarly, the incredibly narrow opening, approximately 1/4 of an inch, can readily be stretched to accomodate even the thickest of penises. The closed-end design means that lots of squelching and slurping noises will be heard on any deep thrusts.

The use of the Real Love Shake requires a good lubricant. Without lube, entry into the extremely tight hole will be painful, if not impossible. With too much lube, the quality of the texture may decrease somewhat. The good news is that the TPE material supports the use of both silicone and water-based lubricants.

Despite my initial interest in the varied internal textures of the Real Love Shake, I was quickly disappointed. Instead of enjoying variety in tightness and texture, I could only detect a variety in tightness, quickly finding one favorite spot in the sleeve. The tight, yet stretchy pressure created by the very small entrance creates the most pleasurable aspects of this sleeve for me. Much of the rest of the sleeve is a boring non-event, until the tighter end section is reached. For reference, I'm about 5.5 inches around.

While I had really been hoping for a decent quality sleeve that would be easier, and less bulky, to clean out then a Fleshlight, I quickly found myself disappointed. The closed-end of the sleeve means that the cleaning of the Real Love Shake necessitates filling the sleeve with water and dumping it out. As it turns out, there are several very thin-walled section in the sleeve which will quickly stretch out when filled with water. If too much water is allowed to enter, I suspect that these sections will pop like an over-inflated water balloon. The worst part, however, is the phenomenal difficulty of drying the sleeve. Despite my shaking it around, towel drying the first few internal inches, and placing the sleeve in front of a fan overnight, I can still find moisture retained in the sleeve 3 days later. This is a particular concern as sleeves like this are liable to mold if left filled with moisture. If the sleeve could somehow be suspended vertically, I suspect that this would be less of an issue. As it is, the difficult nature of drying this sleeve is a major point of detraction.

Between the minimalist Japanese packaging and the brief amount of writing that I could find on TPE, storage options for this toy are not entirely clear. With a texture not dissimilar to silicone, I've been banking on the safe side, and keeping it in its own bag away from any other silicone toys. For whatever reason, the Real Love Shake does not seem to be as prone to collecting every stray piece of hair or lint in the room as the Fleshlight is.

The Real Love Shake comes packaged in a small cardboard box covered in Japanese text and erotic anime characters. The box also depicts a cross-sectional view of the sleeve, displaying the varied shape and textures within the sleeve. The manufacturers include 1 tube of what appears to be Japanese lubricant. While the box may be used for storage, the cardboard is thin and low-quality enough that there isn't much of a reason to hold on to it, unless you'd like to be reminded of the anime girl that this fake vagina may have been modeled after.
