Nice Beginner’s Cock Ring

A great beginner’s cock ring for anyone just starting to explore these sensations. This disposable ring is classic, inexpensive, and easy to use - but lacks the variation and intense sensation that experienced cock ring users crave.

Use

When I bought my first vibrating cock ring, I imagined that it would turn my man’s member into my own living, breathing, flesh and blood vibrator. Boy, was I wrong. Cock rings won’t make your man’s shaft vibrate... and with their relatively light vibrations, cock rings likely won’t give your man an intensified sensation. BUT, this little rings packs a powerful sensation for the clitoris. It is designed to be worn during sex, positioned on the clitoris for additional sensation. It great for slowed-down and intimate sex where you can really let the subtle vibrations do the work against your clitoris. But, if you’re a fan of fast-and-hard sex with more thrusting, and less slow grinding, this little bullet vibe will fail to hit the right spots. This cock ring would be best for beginners; experienced users may find it falls short of their expectations. Its vibrations are weak, there is only one speed, and it lacks the variation or additional sensations offered by more complex rings. But, if you’re looking to try a cock ring for the first time to see if it’s right for you, definitely choose this inexpensive and easy version.

For solo play, you can put a cock ring around a vibrator or dildo for additional sensation. Often, I prefer the texture of a cock ring to traditional bullet vibrators, which are a bit too smooth for my taste. The rubbing of the textured base, combined with the vibration, can make for some awesome solo sensations. I often prefer cock rings as a masturbation or foreplay tool, rather than an addition to intercourse. I also love how they are discreet, small, and easy to travel with - either for solo play, or with my man. However, I don’t like that this ring is disposable and loses its charge quickly. I would prefer a long-lasting ring.

Material / Texture

This cock ring is made of TPR Silicone, which rates a 6 on the Eden Fantasy’s Safety Scale. This material isn’t necessarily harmful, but does require some extra care. On the bright side, it is hypo-allergenic, latex-free, and phthalates-free, which is always a great plus. On the dark side, TPR Silicone is a silicone-rubber blend that is somewhat more porous than silicone, so special care should be taken if sharing or re-using this toy. As with all silicone toys, you should only use water-based lube, since oil and silicone based lubes can destroy the material. I would also wash this toy thoroughly with warm water and mild anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner. However, since this is a disposable one-time-use toy, normal cleaning, storage, and sharing concerns do not necessarily apply.

The TPR silicone makes this ring super stretchy, and it will likely fit many sizes. My man is pretty girthy, and the ring fit comfortably for him. It didn’t give him any great sensations, but it didn’t make him uncomfortable either. If you’re using the cock ring as a way to restrict his orgasm (as metal cock rings do), silicone cock rings won’t work that way. The main focus is the clitoral vibrations - which are complimented by the textured bullet.

If you get up close, it has a rubbery smell, but it’s not noticeable unless you’re looking for it, and you probably won’t be smelling it anyway.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

This cock ring is designed to be worn on the shaft of your man’s penis, with the vibrating textured bullet at the top to hit your clitoris, unless you flip it around for ball and taint stimulation, which I found masked the vibration entirely. Although you can position the bullet to hit your clitoris during sex, I find that it is best for slow, rocking, grinding sex rather than fast up-and-down thrusting sex. While this can be very pleasurable for me, my man finds this to be a little bland most of the time, so it really depends on our mood. Certainly, this toy is always for MY pleasure, rather than his pleasure, and noticeably so. Because of the design, you will have to experiment with different positions and speeds to see what feels best for you. But, since every body and couple is different, you might find that the textured bullet doesn’t line up well with your clitoris, or that you prefer a most fast-paced sex experienced more than the subtle grow of the vibrations.

Many cock rings can be painful or uncomfortable to wear, but my man found this cock ring to be a comfortable fit. As with all cock rings, it is designed to be a snug fit, so takes some getting used to when wearing. Although some cock rings can be worn over the balls, to intensify blood flow and sensation, I wouldn’t recommend it with this particular ring. Due to the nature of the material, the ring could “snap” against him while it’s being moved, positioned, or re-arranged, making the whole experience really painful for him. It would be better to use a more rigid or sturdy cock ring for that purpose. This design is great for beginners, and very easy to take on and off.

This cock ring has a removable bullet, which can be slid out and replaced with a new bullet. I was a bit confused about this, since the product is marketed as disposable. I assumed it was disposable because the bullet has a short battery life (about 30 minutes), but since it can be replaced, perhaps it is disposable because of the porous material. I’m unsure. But, if this bullet dies or is too weak for you, you could replace it with your own bullet and still use the ring and textured clitoral bump, provided that you clean the ring well.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bullet is about 1 inch long and a half inch wide, with an on-off switch on one end. It was a bit tight for me to turn on and off, but loosened up after a few switches. It has one moderate vibration setting, but granted that it’s a disposable bullet and very inexpensive, it was more powerful than I was expecting. Since it makes direct contact with the clitoris (or at least is designed to), the lighter vibrations are pleasant and not overpowering. However, as I mentioned before, the light vibrations get lost with more active sex, so it would require a slower grinding motion to really feel the sensations. As the battery starts to die, the vibrations get even weaker, so this toy may be best for foreplay, as it can start to lose power at the end.

It isn’t very loud at all, and couldn’t be easily heard under the covers; definitely not through a closed door. It is lightweight, small, quiet, and discreet - so perfect for travel or on-the-go pleasure. But, I wouldn’t recommend it for “quickie” sex, as it takes a while to adjust it to your fit, and the vibrations are more of a slow build than something to push you over the edge in the heat of the moment.

The vibe died after about 30-40 minutes of consistent use, but that is all it was designed for. That was plenty for our session, since we used it for both foreplay and during intercourse. I would have liked it to be re-useable, or to have a longer battery span, but you get what you pay for. If you really like the design of the ring, you can always replace the bullet with one of your own.

Care and Maintenance

Since this cock ring is disposable, normal cleaning, maintenance, care, and storage doesn’t apply. However, if you want to use this toy more than once (either by replacing the bullet, or using it sparingly to preserve battery), special share should be taken with the TPR Silicone. As with all silicone toys, you should only use water-based lube, since oil and silicone based lubes can destroy the material. To clean this toy, first remove the battery by sliding it out. Wash it thoroughly with warm water and mild anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner, since it is more porous than silicone. Make sure to get inside all the crevices of the textured clitoral space so bacteria doesn’t grow. I would recommend keeping it inside a Ziploc baggie or small pouch for storage, since the material can be a bit of a lint and dust magnet.

Packaging

This ring comes in a sealed package, similar to a condom wrapper. It is relatively discreet, small, and easy for travel, though the package is not re-useable. There are directions on the wrapper, though it’s pretty clear how to use it anyway. Inside the package, it could be tucked away just about anywhere.

Personal comments

This is a great, inexpensive cock ring for beginners who are just testing the water, and seeing if this is the right toy for them. Despite it lacking variety, strong vibrations, and long-lasting use, it is a good starter toy for anyone who is curious about the sensation. Experienced users should look elsewhere.

Experience

We enjoyed using this toy for direct clitoral stimulation during foreplay, but have mixed feelings about it during sex. While the vibrating sensation was great on my clitoris, I didn’t enjoy having to grind and move so slowly to feel the vibrations during sex. I prefer faster sex, which made the vibrations get lost in the movement. Also, although my man loves playing with toys on me, he felt like he was playing second fiddle to the cock ring. Since I had to move so slow to feel it, he wasn’t getting much sensation, and I was enjoying myself while he was kind of left out. We would use this cock ring again, but sparingly. It’s not our favorite toy for maximum pleasure, but definitely got us excited and turned on for more.
Follow-up commentary
I got this toy quite a few times as a free gift - but as I've become more experienced with toys, recognize that this vibe is actually pretty weak. Although this toy was marked as disposable, the battery lasted after our first play session... so I cleaned it thoroughly, and kept it around for another use. With a second play session, the vibrations were so slight that they were almost nonexistent. A nice beginner's ring, but I'm definitely ready for the big leagues now!
