When I first opened the packaging, I did not smell any odors and was pleasantly surprised by how soft the TPR material is. I did think that the toy would be a little bigger than it is, but the stretchy material with the ribbed interior more than makes up for the lack of size. I must say that the instructions were the most simplistic of any toy I have ordered from Eden! In the Product Manual, under the heading "How To Use", the instructions are "Start pumping to enjoy sucking sensations." That's it!! You don't need to be a rocket scientist to play with this kitty!
