Man Jewels Part 2
I've grown to love all of my cock-and-ball rings. The Bolt is a high quality, light weight ring that would be a good choice for someone who travels a lot and wants to take a ring along but does not want to tip the baggage fee scales! Get hard, stay hard and have fun!
Published:
Pros
Great erection enhancer
Cons
The flat profile can be uncomfortable in certain positions
As the title suggests - this is not my first review of a 'Man Jewel'. Most of this review is about using cock-and-ball rings. If you know all about it and just want to know about the 'Bolt' - skip down to the Experience section for the BOLT REVIEW.
Cock Ring Commentary
If you're a guy like me you don't wear jewelry - except for the possible exception of a wedding ring. Why? Because we're kind of practical and most jewelry gets in the way when we're doing physical work and sports.
However in this case - these 'jewels' can help make your 'work' a little easier - or at least more fun.
The whole concept of 'cock rings' is a little confusing and controversial. Confusing because from my perspective cock rings are those stretchy jelly or silicone devices that more often than not have a little bullet vibe in them and wrap only around the cock. Personally I don't care for these, they don't help me erection wise and the vibrations are not strong enough for my girl.
What are sometimes referred to as cock-and-ball rings are a different story - at least for me. The controversy comes in when I see Forum posts that either consider them painful, intimidating or useless.
For me at least none of these are true. First the question of pain or intimidation. I'll admit that when I got my first metal ring, the Gear Essentials Titan, it was a struggle. Even though I opted for the larger 2-1/8" size, I had a really hard time getting it on. It was at that point that I remembered that I had a 2" silicone ring that I had bought but never used.
That's the first lesson of cock-and-ball rings. Don't start with metal - start with a stretchy silicone one and learn the technique.
The second lesson is that once you get the hang of it, you realize that the ring really does help. If your guy is approaching 60 like me or could just use a little help getting and staying hard - you've gotta get into these toys. Like Viagra or Cialis - they don't arouse you - but if your arouse-able, they help you get and stay harder - and yes even get a little bigger. Not like the phony ads - just enough added girth to make it harder for my girl to deep-throat me - and just enough to help me hit that deep a-spot she likes so much.
A little practical advice. If you're already hard or semi-hard - forget it, you're not going to get the metal ring on. When I haven't planned ahead, I can easily stretch the silicone ring and get 90% of the benefits. If your truly soft - the instructions tell you to put your balls through first (obviously one at a time) - then your flaccid penis through to complete the job. However I find it more comfortable to pass my cock through first - then my balls. Do what ever works for you.
Myth busting - not only can't you put one on when your hard, you cannot take it off before you orgasm. Once you orgasm and your erection subsides, it should slip off relatively easily.
So to recap - if you want to:
Get harder faster
Stay harder longer - even after orgasm
Get just a little bigger
What are you waiting for - go get yourself (or your man) a cool man-jewel!

BOLT REVIEW
I'll be upfront - I have three metal rings and the Bolt ranks as #2 in of the lot. The three in the order that I got them are:
1.) Gear Essentials Charcoal Titan - 2-1/8" x 0.6" (flat). Once getting the hang of how to put on the ring and get it off, I liked the Titan enough to try other metal rings. The only part I didn't like was that in my girl's favorite cowgirl riding position, her body pressed the 0.6" flat profile into my pelvic bone in a way that was not painful - but definitely uncomfortable.
2.) Gear Essentials Omega - 2" x 0.6" (round). The Omega is by far my favorite. It's heaviest and the round profile is just what I was looking for. It's easier to put on in spite of it being smaller in diameter and I love walking around commando with this heavy jewel caressing my package. I warn my wife by teller her "I'm packing heavy!" - so she knows what's in store for her later. A great side benefit of the Omega is that the profile works great for her as she grinds out an orgasm when riding me - she loves it too!
3. Gear Essentials Bolt - 2" x 0.4" (flat). When I first got the Bolt, there was an optical illusion - the smaller profile made it look smaller in diameter, but it really is 2" in diameter and thus is easy for me to put on. It was so easy to put on and so comfortable to wear - it must weigh about 1/2 as much as the Omega - I thought I had found a new go-to toy. But it didn't work out that way. The flat profile - even though 1/3rd smaller than the Titan, was still uncomfortable when my girl was riding on top.
All of the Gear Essentials come in a cool round black metal foam lined round metal tin with great silver/metallic graphic accents. The tins are definitely designed to be kept for ongoing storage - and indeed I keep them all in their original tin. Not because I have to - but they are so cool looking!

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I still like the Bolt. The only problem with the Bolt is that when my wife is on top - it gets forced into my pelvic bone. Since she likes being on top but my Omega is still my go to steel ring.

Thanks for the wealth of information on cock rings. Great job!
-
Loved the basic run down on cock rings in general - great and very useful information! I never would have thought of the flat profile rings digging into the pelvic bone - that does not sound comfortable at ALL. Nice review!

Awesome review, thank you!

wetone, indiglo & curious - thanks for your feedback. I'm glad to hear that the background information was useful. Hopefully those sitting on the fence will take the plunge and give one of these a try.
