Before I get to far in this review, I first want to mention that this has been one of the worst products that we have ever attempted to incorporate into the bedroom. So much in fact, that after one try at penetration, this toy made its way directly into the trash can that is located beside my bed. I am normally very pleased with products made by California Exotics, but this time I feel they may have dropped the ball a little.

This Magnum support plus double cage cock ring made by Cal Exotics, was intended for couples that are looking to experiment with adding a cock ring style support during sex that will not only add support, but also increase girth at the same time. Even though this is more marketed towards couples, I assume it could be used during solo play if you wanted to put it on a dildo or vibe, especially if the toy you want to put it on is on the smaller size.

Even though I am not a fan of the Magnum support plus double cage cock ring, it is made from high quality materials. That is one aspect that California Exotics does quite well. I have never had any issues with any other product that I own because they tend to only use some of the highest quality and safest materials in their product line.

I would say that for about 90% of the cock ring support, it was constructed from a clear TPR material. The great thing about this material is that it is very soft and smooth to the touch. It also is very easy to stretch and move around because the material is very durable, so one would not have to worry with it breaking during normal use. TPR is also hypo-allergenic, latex free, phthalates free, and is non-porous. This toy also contains stainless steel along the center of the toy. I will discuss more about that a little later, but the stainless steel in entirely engulfed within the TPR material that makes up the rest of the toy.

Like I mentioned in the last section, this Magnum support plus double cage cock ring is made entirely of a clear TPR material and 2 small crescent moon shaped pieces of stainless steel. With that being said, this is still a stretchy ring style cock ring, as the 2 stainless steel pieces do not go all the way around the cock ring. For the max stretched diameter of this cock ring, it can be stretched to about 2 ½ inches. It has a normal diameter on 2 inches and is about an inch when not being stretched. The most unique aspect that sets this cock ring apart from others, if the fact that is it about 3 inches long. So in terms of size, this is a pretty large cock ring.

In regards to the actual design of this product, it is pretty cylindrical in nature and tends to bow out a little in the center. That center section contains the 2 small crescent shaped moon pieces of stainless steel, one of with mirroring each other being on opposite sides of the toy. The main purpose of the steel ring would be to add support to your erection and to help maintain the amount of blood within the shaft of the penis. The rest of the cock ring is intended to add girth and stimulation by being completely covered in large ribs that run along the length of the toy. The ribs go all the way around and just separated where the metal ring is located.

I never actually cleaned this toy because like I mentioned, I threw it away before I had to. The general cleaning seems pretty straightforward. Run some mild soap with warm water over the toy, or one could use a toy cleaner to clean and maintain this cock ring cage. Keep in mind that this cage has a large amount of deep ribs that run along the entire length of the toy. That may add a little difficulty getting in between every one of them to ensure that your toy is cleaned.

Overall, when I first laid eyes on this cage, I was very intrigued and wanted to give it a try. I would say that I am average in terms of girth, so I thought it might be a little fun to experiment with using a toy that would offer a little more girth. I also liked the fact that it also was supposed to add a sense of support during use. Keep in mind that lube is a necessity with this product because you will have a very difficult time getting it in place other wise.

Once lubed up, I slide the cock ring cage in place. At first I really liked the feel of the toy while it was on. It was very comfortable to wear and I really enjoyed the sense of support of tightness that it provided. It gripped my penis in such a way that it was pretty pleasurable just having it in place. Everything began to go wrong once I tried to insert my new toy and penis into my wife. We lubed the toy quite well, but the ribs that are intended for added stimulation, did not more than pull and pinch my wife’s skin upon insertion. Once we finally got into position and fully inserted, I began to thrust. Immediately, out new toy was just too painful for my wife to enjoy. The 2 pieces of stainless steel that form the ring in the center, kept hitting her pubis bone and was very uncomfortable for her. Not only that, but the added girth was just too much for us to enjoy using the toy. That’s when I pulled it off and threw it in the trash.

This may have just been our experience, so this toy may work for others. But we were very displeased with it. If you are of average size, or your partner has an average size vagina, this Magnum support plus double cage is not for you. One must have a pretty small girth for this product to actually work the way it was intended. But for someone of average size, please don’t waste your time and look for another product that might suit you better.
