Looks Cool But...
Picobong made things more fun by incorporating an app that is nearly a game with the functionality of a remote to go with the toy. But they used what I thought was a fairly weak motor which is the most important part of the whole thing. Fortunately for some, it will be sufficient, but those used to more power will probably be disappointed. Thankfully, for those who enjoy the product, the cleanup is easy. The toy is waterproof so the "cup" can be cleaned out with soap and water.

Pros
Rechargeable, easy to clean
Cons
Weak, slightly noisy motor
I like technology and gadgets. So when Picobong, a brand by Lelo, introduced their Bluetooth enabled line of toys, I jumped at the crowdfunding campaign (that this was released on). It was a bit of a wait, and being that this was coming from a well-known company, I expected a lot. Unfortunately, I was somewhat let down. Don't get me wrong, it's okay, but don't expect fireworks.
I received this packaged in one of the coolest looking graphically designed boxes that I have ever seen in a sex toy. It features a cartoon looking character wearing a hat and sunglasses. He is holding a phone with a picture of the toy in a beach background, inspired by the app. Well, I was excited to try this out to the point that I already had the Remoji app downloaded so I rushed to get the box open for my test run.
Oh, mine was the blowhole beautiful with the smooth silicone. Even the inside was beautiful; it reminds me of a whirlpool with the way it sinks in and has the little ridges. However, beyond that, is where Blowhole starts to lose points.
Sure it's easy enough to use. When you need to charge, you just plug it into a USB powered device with the included cable. And for a session just press the one button on the toy, and when you see the light, you can start cycling through patterns with the button, but to have full control, you need the app. To use the app, firstly make sure Bluetooth is turned on and paired with the toy BEFORE launching the app. Doing so in this order will make the setup process smoother. Once a remote is found the app runs like a game (you even get achievements and points). Clicking on a character on the bottom tab switches him to a different outfit (and to a different pattern). Swiping left or right on the main screen increases and decreases the speed of said pattern. The lightning button acts to give a high power constant vibration. But do play around with it. Doing different things gives you access to patterns that are locked from the start, which may make things more fun, or not. Also on a side note a time or two the app had trouble finding the toy, and it has occasionally disconnected.
If you want a variety of steady speed or don't like patterns, you're out of luck. Patterns are the main focus. There is no steady speed aside from the option turbo gives you. Also, the vibrations are a little weak for my tastes. And if you are not certain that you put your penis in so that the bump inside the toy where the motor is is under your member to massage your frenulum, you most certainly won't get anything out of it. To say nothing of the fact that it will be uncomfortable to have that motor pushing into the top or sides of it. Also, because of the design, it's not going to let you slide all the way in without a water-based lube.
That said, I have seen better masturbators which have more power and with what seem to be better quality motors. The one in this can be felt resting right up against the silicone on the inside. At this price point, I expected better and for a bit quieter of an experience. It had a bit of a thumping noise, like tapping on the silicone or something which was also something I hated to discover.
Ultimately, power kings should sit this one out. Technology can be a cool thing, and it can do amazing things to revolutionize the sex toy industry. In this case, though, everything feels so limited, and I feel like simple software updates could give so much more. I can forgive the lack of power. I have other toys that will give me that, and I can get off with the blowhole, it's just slow to happen. But I at least wanted a better variety of patterns and to be able to have a constant pattern at all speeds while not having to hold a button on my phone to get that.
Nonetheless, it does give a little more competition to the market of male penis vibrators I guess. And also it is a Lelo brand, meaning that while it may not seem like it to look at it or hold it, there is some degree of quality with a warranty to back it up. I'm just not so sure if I would have been very happy with myself if I would have spent the $139 this is at retail (or even the near $100 it is on sale at the time of this review).
