The Evolution is the smaller cousin to the EvolutionXL and is a vibrating, heated masturbator for men. It is handheld, but can also be used hands-free for foreplay or masturbation. This one is focused on the glands/head of the penis, where the XL covers most of the shaft as well and can be thrust into.

The outer shell is plastic, and the inner is Silicone. The texture is smooth and plushy. This can be enjoyed by any experience level user. There is some padding to the outer lip, but wish there was more or that the entire toy had more girth.

The outer shell is ABS plastic, while the inner lining is made from silicone. It's just under 5" long and claims to accommodate a penis up to 1.5" thick. I'm a little thicker than average, and I was unable to insert my erect penis into the evolution. This was disappointing because I was pretty excited to try this toy out. So I'd say unless you are thinner to avg, you might want to consider something larger. I would expect this to be a snug fit on any penis. There is a little room to give, but unfortunately, this is not a one-size-fits-all toy.

The Evolution has 7 vibration patterns that are interesting, stimulating and unconventional. It also has the ability to heat up for temperature play. There is a three-way switch. Hold the lower end to turn on/off. The middle activates the heater and the upper cycles through the patterns. It's flush against the case, so it's slightly challenging pressing the buttons without looking at it if you are in the dark or under covers, but it's pretty basic operation once you've used it once or twice. The buttons don't provide much feedback and are not super responsive, so you may press and fumble a bit trying to operate it.

Since the liner is silicone, use only water-based lubricant or saliva to lubricate. Wash with warm soapy water or toy cleaner and dry. Do not submerge in water. It does not claim to be waterproof, so I would avoid getting water in/near the buttons. I think it would tolerate a splash, but not submerging in water.

Comes in a fairly discreet black box. It's basic but could be used for storage too. Nothing fancy.

Would be nice in a larger size or more flexible interior. I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10 for concept and construction, but a 6 in execution due to the size.

Recommend for thinner headed penises. If you are well endowed or have more than average girth, you'll want to look elsewhere. Sadly, I was not able to experience the full range of pleasure with this device. Too bad, because the vibration patterns were not predictable and were kinda unique and longer phrases than most average vibrators. I would have enjoyed it if I was able to penetrate it. I tried just putting it against my head, and it was surprisingly quiet when pressed against my penis. Definitely not heard through a door.
