Knot so Hot

It's clear that someone put a bit of thought into the design of this toy -- it's pretty, it's cool looking and it feels good in your hands. Too bad they didn't take the time to try it out on a real person. It's hard (and painful) to tie into a position that works and it's very cumbersome. If you're really well-endowed, like a little pain with your cock rings, or like to tie intricate knots for masturbatory purposes, this might be for you. Otherwise, I can't really recommend it.

Use

This unusual cock ring is designed to be used in a whole range of ways -- the idea behind the soft, tie-able strings is to be able to wrap it around the cock and/or balls in any way that you like. Beginners could use it, if they were comfortable adjusting and moving things around, but it's certainly not as easy to use as a simple cock ring. More advanced users might really like it, because they know exactly where they like their ring to go and how to get it there.

The problem with all of that is this: the way the toy is designed SHOULD give it a lot of versatility for the wearer, but in reality, it ends up being slightly cumbersome and uncomfortable to use. More on that later. But for now, let's say that the concept is fantastic. The execution, not so much.

Material / Texture

The feel of this toy is quite nice -- soft, squishy, smooth, stretchy and flexible. In fact, I couldn't stop playing with it. Then I realized that it was because the feel (and the smell -- slightly rubbery, slightly sweet) reminded me of those fishing lures and fake worms that my grandfather use to let me play with when I was a kid. Which, as you can imagine, took a little bit of the sexiness out of it.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

As I mentioned, the design and shape is awesome -- in concept. A one-speed vibrator sits enclosed in a nice rubber housing, while two ribbed, rope-like ... appendages? ... hang down on either side. The idea is that you can tie it wherever you like -- around the base of the cock, around the cock and balls, just around the balls, around the length of the cock, around a vibe, pretty much anywhere...

Which is cool. Except that it doesn't really work like that. The ropes are fairly big around and fairly long, and the bullet/housing is also fairly large. This means that no matter how you tie it (unless the cock you're playing with is exceptionally large), there ends up being more material than there is skin. Not to mention that you have to pull it pretty tight in order for the super-stretchy material to do its thing. Also, it kind of rolls around, once you do have it on, making it more likely to catch hair or skin.

Thus, imagine this for a moment: You have a cock. You're putting something on your cock that's striated and rubbery. You pull said rubber tight around your sensitive places. Do you think it might catch hair and/or skin? Oh, yes. That's exactly what you think it might do. And that's because it does. Tightening this bad boy is akin to doing major surgery in a dimly lit back alley:

--How's that?

--Nice, but OW! Wait, OW!

--I'm undoing it! Hold on...

--No no no, don't move it...

--Okay, okay...

If your man is into that kind of pain and torture, then grin wickedly and bring this toy to bed with you. Otherwise, be forewarned: slow and careful is the name of the game.

Functions / Performance / Controls

It has a one-button, one-speed vibrator that isn't super strong. It's not a bad thing for clit stimulation during sex (once you finally get the bad boy to stay on without killing your partner), but it wasn't strong enough to get me off.

The boy's response to the vibrations? And I quote: "It's like somebody's using my cock as a kazoo."

Care and Maintenance

Soap and water is the way to go. Since TPR is more porous than silicone and this can't really be covered with a condom, you probably don't want to share it. Just be careful of the vibrating bullet -- it doesn't say anywhere whether or not it's waterproof, so it's probably best to just take it out first.

Storage is easy because you can throw it anywhere. It does tend to pick up dust and hair, so you'll want to wash it just before each use (or find a vacuum-sealed container to store it in).

Personal comments

Simple packaging, but it does include a number of delightful pictures that offer suggestions on how to wear it.
Follow-up commentary
Yeah, no. Still not a good or fun toy for this girl (or for her boy). Someday someone will make a fantastic vibrating cock ring, but this isn't it.
