Having tried many kinds of penis rings, the Butterfly Vibrating Ring seems to be just slightly better than average. As is typical of butterfly rings, merely slip the ring over your caterpillar, turn on the vibrator, find the setting that's right for you, and get lost in penis pleasure - alone or with a partner.

The Butterfly Vibrating Ring is made from TPE, a hypo-allergenic rubber-like material that stretches. There is no perceptible smell and it has has a skin-like texture. I was a bit disappointed in that after just a short period of time (10 minutes), it felt a bit gummy and sticky and can pull on hair (ouch). Interestingly, the interior of the ring - the part that rubs against the penis, has a texture to it but I really couldn't tell if it made the sensations any better on my dick.

Similar to other butterfly penis rings, the Butterfly 7 consists of a ring that fits easily over your cock. One thing I like is that the ring is thicker than most I've used in the past and therefore seems sturdier. In addition, it can also be stretched over your balls in a manner similar to many cock rings. Although my own cock is of average size, I have especially large cojones, so it was a bit uncomfortable. I suspect that many men will have more success than I in trying this technique. I had hoped to see if letting the butterfly rub against my perineum would increase the sensations, but it didn't.

Included with the Butterfly 7 is a plastic bullet. While the bullet has seven different modes - light, med, hard, and several variable modes - none seemed to be particularly better than the others. Of course, it's also fun to experiment. The most disappointing part of this penis ring is that the bullet only vibrates for a brief period of time then shuts off on its own. The bullet is cheaply made (chrome colored plastic) and doesn't appear to be very durable.

The Butterfly Vibrating Ring is waterproof. It should be cleaned with warm water and mild soap (or toy cleaner) after each use. It should not be placed in boiling water as that can damage the ring.

The Butterfly Penis Ring comes in a large plastic cocoon. Although the butterfly can return to the place where it was transformed into a thing of beautifying to adorn cocks, the plastic shell is rather large and would take up quite a bit of space in your toy drawer. I would recommend using a different (and much smaller) container after first use. Personally, I had to laugh when I read the instructions that were included. As noted in the photo, users are warned not to use it on "swollen areas" - wonder if that includes a nice, hard, swollen penis?!
