Good beginners ring, minus a bit of an ouch factor.
Good if your guy is intimidated by the look of many cock rings, however you really need to be careful not to grind on it too hard, or it's going to hurt. The silicone is a great material, but not quite the most ideal for this design, I think.

Pros
Non-intimidating, strong vibrations, would fit most average sized men.
This cock ring is great for beginners to this type of toy, and I think it would be great for intermediate users as well. It has some stretch, but not nearly as much as jelly, since the ring itself is made out of 100% silicone. However, because of the stretch, it might not be ideal for users of more advanced unstretchable cock rings (such as the ones made of steel). This was my boyfriend's first cock ring, and it was definitely a good introduction to the world of cock rings. It has three vibrating settings: low, medium and high. We found that the lowest setting was enough to satisfy both of us, so we never really bothrered with the higher settings. It provides plenty of stimulating vibrations and can be positioned either with the bullet on the top of your partner's penis, or on the bottom, near his testicles. (I guess you could put it on the side if you really wanted...)
The silicone was a big selling point for me. The ease of cleaning it and the safety make it a top pick for me for a toy. It has no scent to it, and it is smooth and non-porous. The ring can be cleaned by taking out the bullet, and washing with antibacterial soap and hot water, or you can sterilize it with boiling water. (You can also clean silicone a number of other ways, such as a 10% bleach solution or putting it in the top rack of your dishwasher, but in my experience the soap and water works just fine.)
There is a seam in the silicone, right in the middle of the ring. However, I honestly didn't notice it until writing this review, and my boyfriend didn't mention it either. Is it a sign that it's not super high quality? Sure. Does it hinder the toy's performance at all? Absolutely not.
We got this cock ring mainly because of the design. It was my boyfriend's first cock ring (at my suggestion) and he specified that he didn't want anything with any "odd protrusions" on it, in other words, a raised clit stimulator. I'm pretty sensitive anyway, so I figured I would be able to do without, but most vibrating cock rings have some sort of clit stimulator on them. This one was in a handful of those that don't. Instead it simply has a hole at the top for the bullet to slide in, and a small red or black (depending on the color you get) tribal design on the front. While the design is slightly raised, it's negligible when it comes to providing additional clitoral stimulation.
The ring requires a bit of lube to slip on, it's not as easy to get on as a one time use jelly cock ring. However, once it's on, you don't have to worry about it sliding around. It's also easy to take back off with little resistance. The silicone is stretchy enough that it provides some pressure on the penis, but not too much. I believe that this ring would fit most average sized men with no trouble at all. It does stretch to just over 2" in diameter, and required no stretching prior to use, as I have heard about some cock rings.
The bullet vibe comes seperate from the ring, you just slip it in with a little bit of water based lubricant. (Don't use silicone lube with this ring, it will break down the silicone.) It has a small, easy to push button on the end that controls the vibrations. You push it once to turn it on low, again to put it to medium, and again to put it to high. Pushing it a fourth time turns it back off. I do sort of wish that it had a hold-to-turn-off feature, so that you didn't have to go through the higher settings post orgasm (when you're already super sensitive anyway) to get it to turn off. The vibrator is pretty loud, but it's similar to that of a cell phone vibration, it's nothing that could be heard through a closed door.
It takes 3 watch batteries, but it comes with 6 of them. My boyfriend and I have used this a couple of times and there has been no decrease in the strength of the vibrations. I also liked that it came with extra batteries because that means I don't have to run right out and buy more after the first set runs out.
This toy comes with very little packaging. The box I thought was a little bit for such a little ring, but to each their own. The ring and the bullet vibe came in their own seperate little plastic bags, along with the batteries in some clamshell packaging. It does not come with a bag for storage.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore6 months after original review
We just don't use this toy as much as I was expecting we were going to. The hard silicone around the bullet vibe hurts too much to really get a good grind going. The batteries have lasted though, due to it being used sparingly! If I were going to drop the money on a vibrating cock ring, I would get one in a safe, softer material.
