The pump is vacuum operated by squeezing the bulb. This sucks the air out of the cylinder resulting in a pull on the penis. To let off the pressure and add air to release the vacuum, press the purge valve. You will then feel the pressure and suction release and will be able to pull your penis out of the pump safely. Never pull out with a pressurized cylinder, this may damage the penis.

Remove tubing from the top. Wash cylinder in warm, soapy water and rinse well. Dry the cylinder and go back over it with a toy cleaner. Do the same with the donut and wipe the exterior of the bulb.
