Fantastic design, but lacking in might
Lelo's Tor is touted as a powerhouse-style cock ring, but in my opinion its high-pitched vibrations make it fall short of being able to claim that title. But if you don't require super-strong vibrations in order to have an orgasm, you'll probably love the great fit and feel the Tor can provide.
Published:
Pros
rechargeable, waterproof, easy to use
Cons
high-pitched vibrations, which may not be strong enough for some women
When it comes to choosing a cock ring, I have but two requirements:
1. Strong, thrummy vibrations
2. "High" positioned vibrations
So when I saw the pictures EdenFantasys posted about the Tor and read the other reviews, I decided that it would be a great investment. Like most women, I can't have an orgasm without direct clitoral stimulation, and I love being able to have "easy" orgasms (read: vibrator-induced) during sex. And as most of us know, hands-free sex is the best!
Like all Lelo toys, Tor is phthalate-free, though this toy is made out of TPE plastic (Lelo seems to favor silicone for a lot of their toys). But like all Lelo toys, it's waterproof, meaning you can take it anywhere, and it's rechargeable, so you won't worry about a last-minute battery scramble, or worse yet, a dead vibrator mid-sex.
Tor comes with its very own cock ring shaped storage container, though in order to store the ring inside the container you need to slide off the top piece of it, and then place both pieces in their respective compartments before snapping shut the container. To charge the Tor, simply insert the tip of the charger cable into the side of the top piece of the cock ring, and let it charge away (a full charge generally takes a few hours, and then it holds for quite a while).
Unfortunately, Tor did not live up to my expectations. Its design doesn't place the top vibrating portion of the ring close enough to my clitoris for direct stimulation. However, this may not necessarily detract from the toy's design, as I seem to have a highly-positioned clitoris. But second, the vibrations were moderate at best, and more high-pitched, rather than being the deep, thrummy vibrations I crave in a vibrator.
From a man's perspective, my husband is happy to report that the cock ring feature of the Tor was more than adequate in providing pleasurable and erection-enhancing restriction, and it was easy to put on and take off.
I am sure that Tor will work out quite well for most men and women. But for me, it only came close -- and as they say, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I wonder why they used TPE?
-
Wow, $100 for a mediocre cock ring does not seem to make much sense. Thanks for the review!
-
It looks like a diamond ring without the diamond. But I was wondering, is it possible to use it without the vibrating top piece?
-
Hmm. Hoped for more.

That is too high a price tag for a cock ring that doesn't officially end all other cock rings, goodness. Sorry this didn't blow your mind! Thanks for the review

I'd have liked to get this for my boyfriend.

Hmmm...this has been sitting on my wishlist. I like rechargeable toys.

I've yet to find a vibrating cock ring that seems like it is really worth it, though I'd like to, since I find them enjoyable to grind against when I'm on top. I wonder if this one would be better for someone with different anatomy, or if the vibrations are just too weak either way.
