Exciter – Not What it Could Have Been
When designing this ring they added just about every feature you might think of for stamina, texture, sensation, and even looks, but it just doesn’t work. It doesn’t stay on, so you can’t really use it. It may work ok, on a dildo for extra texture.

Pros
This ring has a lot of great features built in.
Cons
This ring does not work for its intended use.
I am just gonna bottom line my experience with this toy: It is form without function.
My initial impression of this toy was that it looked very interesting, and that it incorporated a number of interesting and unique features. I was excited to try it out, although my wife was very skeptical of it, and reluctant to agree to giving it a chance. Overall it does contain some really good ideas, but in reality it just does not live up to the possibilities; or at least it did not work for us.
I will now give an overview of the toy, breaking into three parts: the base, the sleeve, and the end.
- The base of this toy is a bit stretchy, but not extremely stretchy. There is a metal ring that has been cut in half on the inside of the base, or opening of this toy. I believe the metal ring is meant to provide a sturdy cock-ring function even though it is cut in half.
- The sleeve is slightly thinner than the base, but is just not really much easier to stretch. It’s not hard to stretch the sleeve with your hands, but once you put it on and let it go, it will pull itself off. The entire toy is about two inches long with openings at both ends, and it has three metal beads embedded in the material; one on the top and two on the bottom. I guess it could be the other way around as there was nothing to specifically note which was which.
- The very end of the sleeve is open and has three equal sized parts or flaps that are made out of the same material as the rest of the sleeve, and are very flexible. They are also a little thinner. From looking at it, you would predict that with movement, the flaps would move around opening and closing giving pleasure to both parties involved.
This cock-ring / sleeve is made out of TPR. TPR is a semi-porous material that cannot be completely sterilized. You can clean this ring / sleeve with soap and warm water, or a toy cleaner. You can use either silicone or water based lubes with this toy.

Experience
As I said before, the Exciter incorporated some great ideas… if only it worked. There is no (pain-free) way of stretching this sleeve out enough to get your penis the whole way inside without lube. With lube you can pretty easily get your penis the whole way in, BUT, as soon as you take your hands off of it, the material contracting causes it to immediately squeeze / slide right off of you.
Since it was not possible to keep this sleeve on, it was not possible to use it. I did think about sizing issues (the varying size of potential wearers), but I don’t really think it would make much of a difference. I think smaller or larger, a guy would have the same problems. I am not really sure what to suggest in order to improve this toy, but as it is, it is not really very usable.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
I gave this interesting contraption one more chance, and I was equally disappointed with it the second time around. I did add a quick little video tour to the review so you can take a better look at this toy if you are interested.

Those metal parts scare me.
