Like most p-rings, the Maximus Enhancement Ring (5 bead version) is best for couples. Because the inner ring is small and constrictive, this product should be used by couples looking to extend their lovemaking sessions. Before, you can apply the ring, you'll need to insert the 3 watch batteries into the bullet, then insert the bullet into its sheath in the ring. This is easier said than done! After you've accomplished this, I recommend that you apply either a water based or a TPR-safe creamy lubricant to the shaft of the penis. Then, stretch both rings between your hands, and slide the smaller ring with the balls in it over the shaft. You should then be able to fit the larger ring around the testicles. The tightness of the inner ring works to keep blood in the shaft of the penis, making it harder and longer as well as prolonging erection. As a result, many men will experience a loss of sensation, though sometimes it is simply described as a "different" sensation. This toy is great for women who need some extra clitoral stimulation during PIV intercourse and enjoy vibration. Because the material of the toy is a soft TPR silicone, it's easy to use for beginners and more advanced users alike. This toy definitely could be used during masturbation, but I have no experience with which to comment on that particular use.

There is no odor to the TPR silicone and it feels very pleasant to the touch. It does tend to be a little cold, so I recommend warming lube in your hands before applying the lubricant and then the ring to the penis. The balls on the smaller ring (the one that goes over the shaft) are meant for male enhancement, but my partner at the time said he didn't feel much. One of the big bonuses of this product is that it's actually latex free, so it is safe for those with latex allergies. The bullet is even waterproof, making it great for bath time and shower play. I did find that if stored casually in a side table drawer, the ring itself did tend to attract dust, which is a downside to the TPR material.

The biggest drawback to the Maximus ring is that it is not at all adjustable in fit. Some men may find the shaft ring to be too tight, even to the point of discomfort. Otherwise, the design is simple to understand and lends itself to use by beginners. Personally, I find it very difficult to insert and remove the bullet, but that has more to do with the material (TPR silicone) than with the design. I was not as impressed by the intensity of the removable bullet as I expected to be, but the one button controls were very simple to use, even during intercourse. The bullet is wireless and is controlled by a single button on its end. It did provide stimulation to my clitoris, but it was not enough for me to orgasm despite trying several positions. The nubs felt great, though! The intended constriction was certainly achieved, but my partner at the time felt that it really significantly decreased his pleasure - not what we were looking for!

Aside from the difficulty you may have removing the vibrating bullet, this toy is very easy to clean and care for.
