California Exotics Anime Muscle Ring is actually two contoured cock rings. One of the rings is thicker and less stretchy and the other ring is thinner and more stretchy. They are meant to go on your cock (obviously). According to the sketch on the back of the packaging they can both be worn next to each other on the shaft in front of the testicles. That may not be the best way to get maximum benefit from these rings, but that is certainly one way to use them. Some other ways they could be used would be one ring around the testicles and the other on the shaft or one behind the testicles and the other on the shaft. This last use was what I was trying to achieve when I broke one of the rings. Either ring could obviously be used independently as well.

The Anime Muscle Ring is made out of TPR and is stretchy. They are available in red or black. I received the red ones for this review. Each ring is textured in different ways. The thinner ring is easier to stretch and has alternating large and small balls molded around the ring. The thicker ring is harder to stretch and has smaller nodules protruding from its surface. Some TPR toys I have experienced have been much stretchier than this, so the thickness of construction in this case must keep the stretchiness in check. I've never had a problem with one breaking, either, but there's a first time for everything.

The Anime Muscle Ring doesn't have a vibrator nor an extension particularly intended for clitoral stimulation. This means there is no "top" to orient, so the rings can go on in any direction. The size is such that they should be able be situated on any guy in the manner depicted on the packaging without a problem. Be careful (particularly with the thinner ring) when stretching to try and place behind the testicles because you might be able to break one of them just as I did. For this reason, the tags for this section may seem a little strange. I was definitely able to get the thicker ring to stretch enough to fit over both the shaft and testicles without it breaking, but the thinner ring broke when I tried to do this. For this reason, I would suggest that the thinner ring be relegated to less strenuous activities but one can push the thicker ring as much as you feel comfortable with.

The Anime Muscle Ring is really easy to care for. Just wash with soap and hot water or your favorite toy cleaner after each use. These are porous, so they should not be shared with other guys or with multiple partners as they could potentially harbor viruses or bacteria. Nothing special with storage either, but contact with TPR silicone or jelly toys should be avoided as it may cause degradation of the material. Water or silicone based lubricants are fine, just avoid oil based lubricants as they may cause material degradation as well.

The only thing that really makes the Anime Muscle Ring "anime" is the packaging. The cardboard insert in the plastic shell with the rings depicts a few muscle bound guys drawn in the anime style. The back of the insert has a sketch showing two ways to potentially use the rings - either one or both rings mounted on the shaft of the penis. The usual warning verbiage is there as well which is good because it would be horrible if someone caused themselves bodily harm by misusing any toy and cock rings are something that could easily be misused if one isn't paying attention.

Obviously my experience was cut short because the thinner ring did not stay together. I consider this my fault as I should have been more cognizant of it nearing its breaking point and taken it a little easier. I think my preferred method of use is to have a ring on the testicles and one on the shaft. If I'm up for a challenge, I was able to get the thicker ring behind my testicles and then the thinner ring could easily be placed on the shaft. I think having both rings on the shaft takes up too much of the shaft of my penis and does not allow for the deep penetration that my partner and I both love. I suppose if I was more "well endowed" having both rings on the shaft wouldn't be such a problem as the bumper that is created might keep a longer guy from going too deep. If used properly, the thickness of the thick ring provides a resistance that is particularly effective at restricting blood flow and hence prolonging the period to ejaculation. This is uncommon for thinner stretchy rings. My partner said she did not really notice the texture of the rings during intercourse, so that probably should not be given much weight in a purchasing decision.
