As Powerful As A Tiny Lawnmower
The waterproof Passion Ring allows for both partners to feel some pretty powerful vibrations. The TPR silicone is very stretchy and hypoallergenic. It may be too stretchy, though, since it does little to maintain erection. The vibrating bullet is removable and takes 3 LR44 batteries. California Exotics kindly provides 6 in the package. Overall, a great purchase for the vibrations.

Pros
powerful, waterproof, removable bullet, extra batteries, stretchy
Cons
bullet can be hard to put back in, does not work well to maintain erection
My boyfriend and I recently decided to give vibrating rings a try. After trying out some of the cheap throw-away ones that come in vibrating kits, such as the Durex Play Vibrating kit, we picked out a ring that we could reuse.
The waterproof Passion Ring comes packaged in a thin cardboard box. The box features a picture of a couple in their underwear, a list of features, and some pretty important warnings. It is recommended the toy is not used for more than 30 minutes, and to allow for a 60 minute break in between uses. Prolonged use may result in bruising at the base of the penis. The toy itself is wrapped in a cheap plastic bag. Also included are 6 LR44 batteries and instructions on how to insert the batteries. The toy only requires 3 batteries to use, though it is nice they included extras, since these may be less available than other battery sizes, like AA.
The ring is a nice bright blue, exactly as it is pictured on EdenFantasys. The ring itself is made out of TPR silicone, which is a hypoallergenic and latex free material. Because it is made out of silicone, it should be used with water-based lubricant only. The inside of the ring measures about 1 1/4 inches across and can stretch up to about 3 inches across easily. The stimulator measures about 2 1/2 inches across and 1 inch from top to bottom. The ring and the stimulator are both covered in small, soft nubs. I feel the ring is a bit hard to get on dry, because the ring itself is only about 1/8 of an inch thick.
The bullet is made of hard plastic. It is pretty easy to get out, though I felt it was a bit difficult to put back in, since I just end up hitting the button to turn it on and off constantly. Air bubbles between the plastic and silicone also make it difficult to get in there. The bullet has a somewhat loud, whiny buzz, probably similar to a bee trapped in a jar or a glass. It is also quite powerful for such a small thing. Holding it while it was on for just a couple of minutes made my hands feel kind of numb, like they do when I mow the lawn. There is only one setting for the vibration intensity. The button is very easy to find and push just through feeling.
The toy can be worn on the penis a few ways. It can be worn just on the penis, or it can be worn over both the penis and the testicles. It can also be worn with the vibrating stimulator facing to stimulate the clitoris or backwards against the testicles. The vibrations are pretty strong, though not overwhelming. When in use, the toy can be pretty noisy, though not so loudly that a closed door and some covers won’t muffle it. Since it is waterproof, it can be used in the shower or tub as well. As I mentioned, the Passion Ring should only be used with water-based lubricants.
To wash the Passion Ring, I just use warm soapy water and a cloth. I make sure to take the vibrating bullet out of the stimulator and remove its batteries. I also wash that separately just in case water does happen to make its way inside. I keep the Passion Ring stored in its original box. Keeping it in a Ziploc bag inside of the box would help keep it cleaner. The bag it comes in is only really useful until it has been opened the first time. I also store the batteries in the original plastic tray they came in, rather than inside the toy. I have already had one toy break due to the batteries accidentally being left inside and corroding.
I’d have to say the Passion Ring is definitely not discreet. The box has half-naked people all over it and the toy itself looks pretty obvious as to what it is.

Experience
The Passion Ring claims to help stimulate both partners while helping maintain erection. We both feel that it only does half of that job. It does a great job of stimulating, however, my boyfriend says he does not feel it actually holds tight enough to maintain an erection. When he puts it on, his veins stand out more, which to me indicates that it is trapping some blood, but is not holding hard enough to fully work to maintain an erection.
I also felt that the stimulator was a bit too big for me to lay comfortably on top of him or under him. It seemed to get a bit in the way of us moving our bodies together as closely as we normally do. Shifting positions a bit helped us find a better way to go at it.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
This ring is just seriously way too bulky to be comfortably worn during sex. We have tried out a few other rings that fit better between our bodies. We can probably still use this if we experiment with positions to find some that allow for more room between our pelvises. Though then, it won't have the same effect with vibrations.
