The Ring O is a silicone ring, nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't bring tons of new features to the table, but in my experience it doesn't fail to do it's job correctly either. I did not have to many problems getting it down to the base of the shaft, though if you're not shaved/trimmed, it may pull out a hair or two if you are not careful.
