An okay pump
This is a fairly decent pump for a beginner. It's simple to put together and use, yet at the same time it's a bit light on features. It does have a vibrating egg you can use with it, though whether this is to try and stimulate you enough for orgasm, or to just distract from the pressure, I couldn't say. Unlike the last pump reviewed, this one does not have a PSI gauge attached. So a little more caution while using it is warranted.

The Box
Like most items from CalExotics, the Adonis Pump comes in a simple cardboard box. It is covered in most of the usual suspects; novelty item only, do not submerge in water, easy touch controller. To be honest there isn't really anything special here. One important fact to note is that the box says it requires 3 AAA batteries, but this is wrong. Only 2 are required in the controller, since only 2 will fit inside it.
The Controller
The control mechanism is simply a tube, that looks like it could hold a cigar or something. You unscrew it near the control button, and the two AAA batteries sit in a little case that slides down inside it. The little vibrating bullet can then attached via a plug that looks something like a headset attachment.
The Pump
First, you have to attach the pump line to the pump chamber. Though it's not that confusing a task. There is a little hose you have to fasten on at the top of the cylinder. My only issue with this was the fact that it took a couple tries to get the hose snapped over the little plastic nipple, which is seemingly a bit too big for the hose. But it will fit if you get it started right.
The cylinder comes with a soft donut at the base. Inside it is built up like some insect traps. Where it's easy to get inside, but if you are all the way in, it's hard to get back out. Of course, this isn't a problem for what we'll be using the pump for. But it's still interesting that it's designed that way.
Cleaning
So how do you clean the pump, if you can't submerge it? Well, the best way I've found is to get a damp soapy cloth, fasten it to a dowel rod of sufficient length, using rubber bands. Then you can push it up inside the cylinder and wipe down the inside. Detach the hose and you can rinse out the inside as well. Though you might want to pop the donut off of the base so it's just the hard plastic getting rinsed.
Vibration
I found the vibrations to be fairly interesting with the Adonis. You can position the egg in one of the side pockets up near where the head of your penis will be, or you can put it in the base to stimulate your testicles while using the pump. Whichever pocket you decide to use it in, the remote can slip into the other pocket.
To cycle the vibrations, it's just as simple as pressing the button. To turn it off, you just hold the button for a few seconds.

Experience
This is the second pump I've received, and I find it hard to believe that neither of them came with any instructions. It's like they just toss it in a box and expect you to know all about using it. After some research with the last one, I have found a couple of tricks to make it work better. Such as using a lube around the ring at the base. This helps to create a tighter seal.
If you are new to it, always wait after each pump to see what the effect will be. As the pressure builds, go from using a full squeeze, to a half, or even quarter-squeeze. The feeling will be different for each individual, so just take your time and see how it affects you.
And above all, don't rapidly pump it like the guy in Deuce Bigolow: European Gigolo. No sense in exploding your penis, right?
