I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the Tenga Deep Throat Cup. Having used a variety of the Tenga Eggs and the Flip Hole in the past, I had high expectations for the Deep Throat Cup. It certainly did not disappoint.

To use it, one simply removes the sticker on top (that controls suction), and unwraps the toy from its tight plastic-wrap packaging. Then one unscrews the bottom to reveal the penetration point, and goes at it from there. Stick it in, up and down motion. No rocket science there. The toy itself is not complex, but there are many absolutely ingenious parts of the toy that I will describe later in the review.

I made a point of going on a business trip with mine in the suitcase, and it went very well. Cleanup was a breeze as the toy was disposable and it left no mess. As for couples, why not? It would be a ton of fun for a partner to control the suction and motion on the toy. I wouldn't try it in the shower though, as the lube (I'm fairly sure) is water based.

The most interesting thing about this toy is the suction principle. At the top of the toy, there is a hole that is covered by a sticker when you buy it. Remove the sticker and air is allowed into the toy. However, if you thrust deeply, cover the hole, and attempt to pull out, it creates a strong suction that is distinctly similar to the suction produced by a good head session. I think this is definitely the defining achievement of the toy. After all, it does seem to be the namesake.

Also, the suction is noisy. Not that real life suction wouldn't be.

The outside of the shell is hard plastic. The inside (the goods) are a soft material I assume to be silicone as these things often are. The first genius point of the Tenga Deep Throat Cup is found here. At the rim of the toy (but not visible) is a spongelike circle with a hole in it for penetration. This spongelike material is supersaturated with lube, and the thrusting motion will aid in lubrication of the entire toy. I found this worked very well for most of the toy, although the lube did not reach the far back of the toy.

The texture is sort of a futuristic nubs and spheres shape, as Tenga is prone to use. It's far from realistic, but is definitely a pleasurable experience.

There is a gentle odor associated with the lube, but it is not unpleasant, nor particularly detectable.

The design of this toy is amazing. The suction hole worked just like it was supposed to. The lubrication sponge at the rim was also a very intelligent innovation. Overall, the disposable nature of the toy can be praised, as it was just an open and use and throw away experience. No cleanup apart from a shower on my part. No hassle.

Sizing was a bit of an issue, but that was probably an oversight on my part. I got the smaller Tenga Deep Throat Cup, thinking my about average size was a good fit for it. While it was pleasurable, it was tight. And not the good kind of tight. I also found trouble burying my entire shaft into it. Next time I'll be getting the US Tenga Deep Throat Cup (the larger alternative). Minor oversight on my part, but if you get the right toy, you shouldn't have a problem with it at all.

The sizing of the toy is very reasonable apart from fit issues. The packaging is fairly discreet. Unless you read the text on the packaging, you probably wouldn't know it was a sex toy straight up. I packed it in a suitcase and used it on a business trip in a hotel room, so travel suitability is a definite yes.

The textured inside was great. Maybe not realistic (like the human mouth it seeks to emulate) but definitely pleasurable. The lubrication mechanism was a novel and interesting touch, and worked essentially like it was supposed to with a few hiccups.

The best? Clearly the fact that it had a suction hole. I was amazed at how realistic it was, compared to a human giving head, and I admit I just explored the suction hole and its effects on the toy quite a bit.

The worst? Probably the size. A bit small, but that was my fault and I can't blame Tenga. Overall, the performance was good. Not perfect, because the lubrication didn't quite reach the back of the toy, where it would have helped quite a bit, but far far above average in terms of male toys I've tested.

Eh, not really. No care, no maintenance. It's meant to be a one use thing. A bit expensive, I know, but sometimes one has to reward himself. Unwrap it. Use it. Chuck it.

If you want to use it more than once, I don't know if you can wash it out. I haven't tried, but I imagine the inside is somewhat complex.

It is designed to be used once, and served its purpose very well as that.

I stored it in a suitcase and that probably experienced a variety of temperatures, although no serious extremes. Keep it out of an oven and a freezer, and I'm sure it will work fine.

The toy is packaged in a hard, thin plastic "sheeting" that is tightly stretched over the toy. There are cute little pictorials on the packaging that show you how to use it. The instructions were definitely accurate and nothing was confusing. The toy is pretty cut and dry, and that's absolutely okay. The toy can't really be used as packaging or a gift box, but as is, I know I for one would love to receive one in a Christmas Stocking or something. It's really simple, pretty, and discreet packaging. Kudos Tenga.

I imagine the plastic packaging on the outside is recyclable. I wouldn't recycle the toy after I'm done with it.

The suction experience was awesome! I know I keep going on about that but really, it was an experience I didn't think a toy could pull off.
