A Vibrating Silicone Ring to Add to My Collection
This was my first vibrating cock ring, and it was nice for a new experience. The cock ring itself was great. I felt it supported me nicely and more firmly than other silicone rings. The vibrations from the bullet could have been a little stronger from my perspective.

Pros
Snug, Affordable, Stronger than my other silicone ring
Cons
Vibrations could be stronger
I've been using a cock ring for a couple of years now and just recently made the jump to metal. My review of that awesome experience can be seen here. I also decided to expand my collection and include a vibrating version, which ended up being the Colt. After my first use with my metal ring, I'm pretty much a convert to the world of metal rings; but this vibrating ring provides a different sort of feel and experience that is worth exploring.
Before I even get into my review, I feel I should add the disclaimer that I used this ring without a partner. That being said, I am looking forward to my follow-up review, which will discuss my experiences with the ring as well her feelings.
After the initial unboxing of this ring, I was surprised to see that there were no directions. I know we aren't splitting atoms here, but a little diagram to show how the batteries go into the bullet would have been helpful. After finally getting the batteries into the bullet correctly, getting it into its slot is a little annoying as the sides of the slot get pulled inside with the bullet. It took a little doing, but I finally got it into place.
I had used silicone rings in the past and had finally stepped up to the big leagues and started using a metal ring, so I felt that I was adequately prepared to use the Colt with no hang-ups. That mindset further reinforced the thought that every toy is different and should be approached as such. My first go-around with this ring was not a pleasant one. I had difficulty getting my parts into the ring, and when I finally did, it was extremely tight and uncomfortable. Before shit got real, I took it off and put it away, saving myself the traumatic experience of going to the emergency room or letting anything sharp near my cock.
It stayed packed away in sex toy purgatory until I felt I was ready to give it another chance; fully aware of the issues I had the first time, this was a make or break moment for the Colt. This time I made sure that I applied a sufficient amount of lube to the inside of the ring to ease getting it on. That seemed to do the trick as I was able to get each ball in one at a time and then my shaft. The fit was a lot easier this time around: not as tight as the first time but not too loose that it did nothing at all. The ring itself provides a great, restrictive feeling. It was a tighter feel than my other silicone ring, which was a nice surprise. I would use this ring on its own without the bullet as a replacement for my other silicone ring.
The one thing I've noticed with my metal ring is that it really restricts and tightens up my balls. I'm not approaching that as a negative, but this ring provides a different feel in that area. With the Colt, my balls aren't as tight, and it leaves the door open for a little more when rubbing them because they aren't so taut. The Colt allows for freer play with my balls than my metal ring and adds a nice, increased sensitivity to them.
I was a little disappointed with the intensity of the bullet. The vibration is felt, but it really didn't do much for me. I realize that the vibrating part of this cock ring is not meant solely for me, but while using it alone, I was looking for more of a buzz. Not only that, but I could feel the bullet losing some steam after I had it on for a little bit. It's important to make sure that a cock ring doesn't stay on too long anyway, but the bullet really seems to fade after a couple of minutes.
The one thing I can say about this ring is that it does its job in giving me a firmer, longer-lasting erection. But I have to say I would probably wear this ring mostly for the benefit of my partner as I find the metal ring a better experience for myself. However, I realize that metal rings are not for everyone, and I am by no means suggesting that anyone who is using a silicone ring make the switch to metal unless they are ready. But if I were to ever use a silicone ring, I would just use this one (perhaps without the bullet) over the one I currently have. But, like I said, I will revisit this one after I use it with my partner and get her feedback.

Experience
I used the water-based Climax Bursts Cooling Lube because this is a silicone toy and water-based lube should be used. This made the ring easier to get on and a much better fit for me. I also used Pjur Toy Cleaner and warm water to clean this ring. It's true with any toy, but it still needs to be said, that it is extremely important to make sure it is cleaned thoroughly before and after each use since this is a silicone-based toy.

Thank you for viewing Colt vibrating stud ring – vibrating cock ring review page!
I am surprised you had a hard time getting it on, TPR silicone is typically very stretchy.
