The Lina vibrator pen by Cal Exotics was something that I just had to have. Number one, I wanted to see how well it worked and two, I wanted to see if it would still be a functional pen. My answer was pretty well on both counts. It is a powerful vibrator that does write. As far as discreetness however, unless you are using it at a concert, people are going to hear it.

This vibrator can be tucked in your purse or backpack and makes traveling with it great. Most people won't be going through your things trying to turn on your pens. The sleeve that comes with it is great for clitoral stimulation, but this can also be inserted vaginally.

The body of the pen is made of a food-grade plastic that is latex-free, phthalates-free, and hypo-allergenic. The accompanying sleeve is made of TPR Silicone. The sleeve had nubs on it that feel great against your clit. The sleeve does pick up lint and hair so you need to keep it covered or wash it before use.

There is no smell or taste to this product. In my opinion it could be used by beginners or more advanced users alike. The size is non-intimidating for beginners yet powerful enough for everyone alike.

It looks like a fat ball point pen, because that is exactly what it is....with a hidden motor inside. The pen measures 5 3/4" in length with an insertable length of 4 1/4". It is 5/8" in diameter. It is silver and has a pink insignia of a twirling body on the side as well as pink lettering showing you on/off/open on the twist control and battery compartment. On the top of the pen is a pink crystal encased in a plastic bubble.

You can use the pen as a vibrator alone or slip on the sleeve which is TPR silicone. The sleeve is 2 5/8" long and increases the diameter to 1" with the protruding nubs. This is great for clitoral stimulation and can also be used for insertion. This sleeve can also be used with most of the bullets that I have and can be worn on your finger as well.

This vibrator is very discreet looking, alone you cannot tell that it is a vibrator.

The vibrations travel completely through this vibrator and are fairly strong. It has only one speed..intense. Using the sleeve on it doesn't lessen the amount of vibrations, just adds to the texture and feel of the vibrator.

It is operated by 4-watch batteries. There are 8 included. You unscrew the pen on the line that is marked to open and insert them, then simply screw it back together and twist it to the on setting.

It is pretty loud so using it without being noticed is simply not going to happen. It can be heard easily through covers but not through closed doors. So if you are planning a quick trip to the bathroom at work, it had better be a private bathroom. Even then with bathroom acoustics you can still hear it vaguely.

It is something of a battery hog. I haven't had to replace them yet but after two uses it is diminishing in power and I think that the next time I use it I will have to trash the batteries when I am done. I guess thats why they include 8 of them.

Because it is made of hard plastic I use a toy wipe on the pen itself to clean it and mild soap and water to wash the sleeve. Remember to remove batteries when it is not in use to avoid draining them and causing damage.

Because the sleeve is TPR I would suggest a water or oil based lube if you are going to use one.

The pen can be stored anywhere. I have mine in a cup on my desk. The sleeve needs to be stored in a lint free bag as it picks up generally everything it comes in contact with.

It comes in your run of the mill plastic envelope that pulls apart to open boasting that it is part of the Dr. Laure Berman Intimate Basics collection.

While I love the concept behind this, it is loud enough that I will only use it in my bedroom with the door closed. It has powerful vibes that have brought me to orgasm both times that I have used it.

The only downfall that I can foresee is finding a compatible ink replacement. It is a screw in piece that is a little over 2" long and I am not sure yet how hard this is going to be to find.
