BSwish's Bcurious is an adorable little luxury vibrator. It is designed to be a clitoral toy and is best used as such. Its gentle ergonomic styling allows it to conform quite well to the body and as a result feels quite natural during play. It works very well for solo play but can also be used as a couples foreplay toy in the bedroom. It can also be used during intercourse to add stimulation if someone has a free hand.

While it is designed to be a clitoral toy, it also works to stimulate any other erogenous zones during foreplay if that is to your liking. The gentle curves of the toy give it a very teasing nature that work well for this purpose.

Much of the Bcurious is made of a smooth plastic. The button is made of plastic and the little seam that separates the top and bottom of the toy is made of silicone. The plastic is hard, with very little give, and there is no texture overall. While that doesn't add extra stimulation, it can be argued that the Bcurious doesn't need any. Texture-wise it's great for both beginners and advanced users alike as there is no learning curve but can still be enjoyed by advanced sex toy users.

The material is mostly odorless (a fresh plastic smell will emanate, but really if you only look for it) and tasteless.

One of the great points of the Bcurious is the design aspect. The shape of the toy is quite gently curved and that makes for great clitoral stimulation as it conforms very well to the female body. My girlfriend, the user of the toy, described it as "one with her body" during solo play.

Because of the size factor (about four inches long and a little over one and a half inches wide) it's great for travel (provided it doesn't turn on by accident). It's quite discreet as it's not obviously a sex toy and the small size as well as the recharge-ability make it a great toy to travel with. Additionally, the size makes it easy to hide.

The Bcurious has seven functions, all of which are accessed through the main button on the toy. The button is divided into two parts: the On-Off button turns the toy on and off, and the cycle button allows you to cycle between the various functions of the toy.

The seven functions are as follows.

1. Steady vibrations level 1.
2. Steady vibrations level 2.
3. Steady vibrations level 3.
4. Vibrations cycling between levels 1-3.
5. Pulsating vibrations at about level 3.
6. Quicker pulsating vibrations, also at about level 3.
7. 3 hard probing vibrations, then one steady vibration, about level 3.

The first three functions are sort of bread and butter vibrator functions. In terms of the more advanced functions, the girlfriend enjoyed 5 and 6 but found 7 to be too erratic (in her words almost like having sex with a cell phone ringtone).

The controls are relatively easy to use, if easy to accidentally hit during play. The vibrations are scattered throughout the toy, making for a consistent experience. However, this also causes vibrations to travel to the hands, sometimes causing what is typically referred to as "buzzy hand syndrome" here on Eden after long periods of play. A relative downside would be the relative noisiness of the toy, but perhaps that is only due to us being spoiled with the Little Chroma by Jimmyjane.

The strength of the toy is somewhere between Evolved's Armor Piercing Speeding Bullet and Eden's Simple Basic Wired Bullet. It's stronger than the Jimmyjane Little Chroma, but also decidedly louder.

The Bcurious enjoys relatively good battery life. BSwish's website states that one can, with a charge time of 2.5 hours, achieve a playtime of 2 hours and a standby time of 60 days. We've found that with 2 and a half hours of charging we get almost two and a half hours of non-consecutive playtime. However, because it is a lithium ion battery, it will wear down over time.

Care and maintenance are relatively simple. Simply wipe down with soap and warm water after play. If applicable, Eden's toy and body wipes are also great. It can be stored in its packaging, or in a toy chest or drawer where you keep most of your toys. It also comes with a pouch for storage. As with most toys, keep it somewhere cool and dry to avoid electrical problems. Apart from that it is very low-maintenance.

Because there is a seam of silicone on the toy, it is advised that silicone lubes are not to be used with the toy. Water and oil based lubes are still fair game.

The packaging is a thin black cardboard box with a woman looking introspective on the cover. The box looks almost like it'd be for a skincare product from Sephora. The toy itself is cradled in a piece of molded plastic and underneath are instructions, a charger, and a small pouch to store the toy. While the packaging isn't on the level of say, Lelo or Jimmyjane, it's elegant if minimal and is definitely discreet compared to more gaudy, garish packages. The included literature is adequate in describing the toy's functions, but the less than stellar packaging for a luxury toy means you might want to get a gift bag or something for it. The packaging, being plastic and cardboard, is fully recyclable.

We enjoyed the toy during intercourse, and she still uses it for solo play. While it doesn't get as much action as some other toys, it's definitely become a member of the family, so to speak.
